Spoil yourself! Completely restored 1950's cottage on historic York Cove. Water views from every living area. Easy walk along foreshore to restaurants, coffee shops and town centre. George Town is a gateway to picturesque Low Head featuring 1860's Pilot Station with coffee shop, Museum, Light house and Penguin Walk. East Beach is simply beautiful. The Wine Trail includes some of the best Tasmanian wines including Piper's Brook and Jantz. There's plenty to do and we're delighted to guide you. Beside the magnificent views we have restored the property to its former glory while emphasizing bright and airy internals with quirky 50's and 60's ambiance. The large kitchen captures the morning sun while the verandah is less than 10 metres from the water with uninterrupted views of the marina, Tamar River and distant mountains. Of an evening there is a table at the window in the lounge, a piano, television, NBN and comfortable lounges. There are several restaurants nearby. We supply a picnic set and fold up table if you want to pack a lunch and explore. Guests are able to access the entire apartment We are happy to have input with guests--please just let us know--we are only 5 minutes away. Brochures and maps are available at Anne St. 35 minutes drive from Launceston. George Town has history. It was settled in 1804/5 near the Tamar River mouth. The last few years have seen new restaurants and cafes open. It is a gateway to a number of quality wineries - Piper's Brook, Jantz and Delamere and others less than a half hour away. The picturesque Low Head with Pilot Station (circa 1860), lighthouses and beaches is only 5 minutes down the road. Lots to see and do.
