Beautiful stone cottage in picturesque Lot Valley

Le Cantou - Our skilfully restored cottage, set in wonderful countryside, offers comfort, tranquility and everything you will need to make your holiday memorable. The cottage is located in a small hamlet with no through traffic so guests are assured of peace and quiet. There is private parking. It is close to many beautiful villages and the River Lot where visitors can swim and canoe. We welcome couples, families and solo adventurers. We bought the cottage as a ruin and our son completely renovated it, maintaining many of its original features while providing accommodation of the highest standard. Our cottage offers two double bedrooms each with ensuite shower/bath, wc and handbasin. The lounge is comfortably furnished, with a woodburner for winter days. There is additional heating in each of the other rooms. The kitchen has all your needs for a self catering holiday. Outside, there is a south facing patio with table and chairs and on the other side of the house a large terrace with BBQ, table and chairs. Sunloungers are provided. Guests will have use of the entire house, two fully equipped terraces and private parking. We live close by and are always available should the need arise. The hamlet of Lagarrigue where our cottage is situated, is secluded and offers wonderful walks, wildlife and views. It is possible to swim and canoe on the nearby River Lot. In the area there are many stunning towns and villages. La Terrasse, in Vieillevie, is an excellent Restaurant but there are many more just a short drive away. The cottage is in a tiny hamlet 3kms from the village of Vieillevie, which borders the River Lot. Here guests will find a Restaurant and shop with a bar and post office. There is a Welcome Pack in the cottage with details of places to visit and eat, markets, events and walks .
