In a lovely village overlooking fields, minutes from Chester City and Zoo and close to Liverpool and Snowdonia. This is the listing for room 3. Bedroom Ensuite. Near Chester, set in the Village of Higher Kinnerton and surrounded by fields, our home is a converted stables on a farm. We are very flexible on check in and check out. Weekends are definitely earlier and later. It does depend on our other commitments but if you have particular requirements please check before booking. Your room is large with a double bed, an ensuite bathroom/shower and extensive wardrobe. The full ensuite is finished in polished Travertine marble tiles and mosaics with underfloor heating and a heated mirror. The bed area has reduced headroom. This room is listed separately - search Higher Kinnerton). The house front door - key provided. The guest bedroom area is separate from the host family area by virtue of the rooms being at the far end of the house. We have a large dining kitchen where we will provide a light but comprehensive continental breakfast; the large conservatory, gardens and two acre meadow are all open to guests We'll be around to help in any way we can and provide a light continental breakfast; for any other catering needs, just ask and we will endeavour to accommodate where practical. You can take yourself off for some peace and quiet or mix it up as you wish; we love the social side of having guests but completely respect your privacy. All our guests can make use of the newly refurbished conservatory, gardens and meadow. The garden features a Safari Hut with lights and a heater. There's also a fire pit by the gazebo with swing seats and lights, a perfect place to chill out day or night. (Griddle some sausages or toast marshmallows!) We'll be around to help in any way you wish. We can help with information on touring the area and the 'must see' destinations. The locale is a quiet village with a lovely pub, The Royal Oak, (just 300m away) serving food, well worth a visit. The Swan pub is at the far end of the village. There's a general store that's open late and a Co-op in nearby Broughton. A 5 minute drive away is the village of Dodleston and The Red Lion, a quaint gastro affair in a lovely setting. Just a 10 minute drive away is the historic Roman city of Chester and we're 5 minutes drive from Broughton retail park, which has all the usual shops and restaurants (open until 11pm) including an M & S Food Hall and an IMAX multiscreen cinema. Plenty of walks and open spaces to enjoy with some nearby hills to climb for spectacular views across The Cheshire Plain. Of course, we're also in a prime position to travel through Wales, en route to Ireland or up to The Lake District. Further along the motorway is the vast retail complex of Cheshire Oaks, the Blue Planet Aquarium and the fabulous Chester Zoo. If you need dining recommendations, inspiration or guidance on where to visit, the best route or circuit and what there is to see and do please ask - we'll make sure you make the best use of your stay in the area.
