Mount Royal House is set in a peaceful, slightly elevated location in the centre of Whiting Bay, with the beach only 100 yards away, it has fantastic uninterrupted views of the Firth of Clyde. Decorated to a high standard with a large enclosed private landscaped garden with outside furniture, and safe for children. A comfortable, cosy, home from home in the perfect location-only minutes walk from the beach, village shops , local restaurants and bar. Off street parking available. Mount Royal is a beautiful, well apportioned, traditional detached house built in 1934. The dining room has a log burner and the lounge an open fire so you will always be kept toasty. The house has two large double bedrooms and a smaller single bedroom. Adjoining the house is a conservatory for relaxing in the afternoon sun. Guests have access to the entire house. Pets are welcome. High chair / travel cot available on request Self check in with the lock box. A contact will be available for the duration of your stay Whiting Bay is peaceful, but at the same time has everything you need. There are three restaurants. The Shore, Coast, Felicities and the Coffee Pot serving home baking during the day. A Post Office, Chemist, petrol station, and Bay Store that has local produce, artisan breads /Gin and a nice cup of coffee. There are so many beautiful walks from the door-Fairy Glen, Glenashdale Falls, the Giants Graves, along the beach to Kingscross and the Viking Fort...all stunning. A day trip to the Holy Isle is always a favourite, jump on the ferry from Lamlash pier and receive a warm welcome from the Buddhist community on the Isle. There are so many beautiful places... too many to mention. Arran has been described as 'Scotland in miniature' and is a unique experience. The Wildlife is stunning with otters, seals, sharks, red squirrels, butterflies and dragon flies... to name but a few! The bus service which goes round the whole island is great.
