Pretty central cottage in ancient Dartmoor town

Arch Cottage is conveniently situated in the centre of beautiful Chagford, a unique & ancient stannary town in the foothills of Dartmoor. The cottage is tucked within the arch behind double gates in the enclosed flowery courtyard of Arch House.There is a table & chairs on the terrace underneath the cascading wisteria, for those al fresco breakfasts. Full of books, pictures & ancient Persian rugs, comfortable beds, & cosy sofas, Arch Cottage is a little gem. Parking for 1 car. We welcome children and the cottage is well equipped with cot, stair gate and high chair. We have friendly animals including a chatty parrot who all love making new friends . We live opposite the cottage and are usually on hand to help if needed or give advice about good eating places or walks on Dartmoor. Chagford is famous for its artists and crafts people. Shops, restaurants , cafes and pubs are three minutes walk away. Walking on the wild moors or by the peaceful rivers are all within easy reach, either by car or foot The cathedral city of Exeter is 22 miles away. The train station is here and you can get a bus into Chagford. If you are driving remember Dartmoor roads are very narrow! Pets allowed upon request - £5 charge per pet per night.
