Acorn Cottages, #1. Set among the oaks

Pretty little 1 bedroom casita set among the oaks in LaGrange. Only 15-20 mins. from Round Top, 5 minutes to historical downtown LaGrange! Antiquing abounds! In all surrounding towns. Each 550 sq. ft. cottage has a Kitchenette, separate bedroom w/ queen and a daybed in Living room and 3/4 bath Light and bright! Enjoy your evening cocktail on your private little deck and watch the deer go by. Our home is on the property, so if y'all are in need we are here! Our newly renovated cottages are roomy and cozy. A separate kitchenette offers a coffee station with full size Keurig, bottled water, coffee, cream and sugar! A mini fridge with separate freezer. Cabinets are stocked with dishes and utensils, glasses , mugs and silverware. Newly renovated bathroom is also stocked with fluffy towels, wash cloths, hair dryer body wash, shampoo and conditioner, along with other necessities. Feel free to peruse cabinets and make yourself at home! Our cleaning procedures have always been up to airbnb COVID19 standards, Every surface is cleaned with anti bacterial products, floors are steam mopped and ALL bedding is washed between each guest. There is a parking area just for guests, each cottage has it's own private deck, and entrance. There is a large room separating each cottage that has a full size fridge for extra ice, drinks and so on. We have also added an ice machine! it is next to the fridge in the laundry room. scoop next to it.. An iron and ironing board are available as well. This is a laundry room, and work room for host, however if you need to do laundry, we just need to negotiate times. We live on the property, you will be able to text us, and may see us as we work around the property, and water the plants! Please feel free to stop and chat! A word about COVID procedures. We ourselves do not wear masks unless required by a store, however, if you would like us to wear a mask when interacting with you, we of course will: we want our guests to feel comfortable. We will not be in the same buildings so our upfront interaction will be fairly short. Social distancing goes without saying: we do ask if you wear a mask, please put it in your luggage or bags when not wearing it: or if it is disposable; throw it away each day. Thank you Our neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and well established. each home sits on about 3.5 acres, so not a lot of noise. We are just down the road from Monument Hill, great historical site! As well as so many other historical places to see like the Texas Hero's museum in the old jail, downtown LaGrange. The Quilt museum too. And many other historical sites in the surrounding areas! Pretty easy to get from town to town out here! and we are just a few miles from Highway 71 which runs from Austin to Houston. ( Actually 71 turns into Highway 10 in Columbus, but it's a straight shot. Lots of pastureland with cattle, horses, goats and beautiful Longhorns! It is a beautiful drive from LaGrange to Round Top, wineries on the way. Fayetteville is close, offering famous old diners and the Grand Fayette Hotel with "The Wine Bar restaurant" excellent food and lovely dining experience! There are a couple of taxi companies in the area as well, but no "Uber" Yay!! Round Top Faire is here again! starting on March 18-April 4th. Lots of fun to be had, places to eat! Music to hear!! We have a cat, who is not real sociable named Lulu, and a little dog named Daisy who is. Please let us know if they are a bother.
