The Log

Set on one acre with magnifcant oak trees our log home has a separate 1200 sq ft apartment over the garage. A small deck with a big view overlooks Bear Mountain. We have space for your boat, trailer and vehicle on our gated one acre property. Full size kitchen with microwave, stove and refrigerator. Kitchen has pots & pans, dishes, silverware & glasses. Bath has hair dryer & extra toiletries, if needed. A French press, teapot, toaster and Keurig coffee pot and coffee are provided. We also provide aluminum foil, plastic wrap, napkins, salt & pepper, sugar, creamer, dish soap and towels. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. A 21” George Foreman Electric BBQ grill is located on site. We do not have an open flame BBQ on site due to fire concerns in our area. We do not serve breakfast but do provide various breakfast items for you to enjoy. There are two beach towels on the dryer for water sports. The separate apartment entry and small private deck are for your use on this property. You are welcome to walk around the property. We have a golf cart available if you would like to use it to go down to Greenhorn Golf Course for golf or dining. The road down to our property is not paved but a good gravel base. Note: If you golf you will need to use a GH golf carts because at his time do not pay the permit fee to use our cart. You can use our cart to carry your clubs down to the course and back to the log. We will try to be available during your stay to answer questions and share as much information as possible to make your stay special. For your reference there are some information sheets on the kitchen bar, how to get on the WiFi, etc, helpful hints on different aspects of the log. We have also put together a binder of various activities and sights to see in our area. It is your vacation time and we will follow your lead if you prefer to be left on your own. We are in the city limits, close to town but in a country setting with acreage all around us. You can walk to town, to Greenhorn Creek Golf Course or around our country road and down to Finnegan Lane to the creek area. It is very peaceful with lots of deer, turkeys, quail and other wildlife. This area contains many abandoned gold mines as does much of Angels Camp. You are located within the Angels Camp City limits with bus service available at the Angels Camp visitors center ( in town on Main Street) Schedules vary so the visitors center can help with the most current schedule. On site parking comes with your stay. Boats & Trailers are welcome. If you have a large RV or trailer please let us know how large to make sure we have ample turnaround for your vehicle. We are only 15 minutes from Murphy's and 20-30 minutes to Arnold ( depending on traffic). Columbia State Park and Sonora are also close by ( 30 minutes). Yosemite is about a two hour drive. We have a binder in the log for your reference that outlines things to do and places to visit. Since the apartment is over the garage we are very respectful and make sure we do not open the garage doors during your stay while you are in residence. We do not cook breakfast but for your convenience do provide breakfast items in the refrigerate at the log. There are English muffins or bagels, cereal and oatmeal, milk, orange juice, butter, jam, cream cheese, coffee, tea and bottle water. There are a variety of other snacks provided as well. We have a gate to our property and if you have a boat we can close the gate at night. We have a gate opener that we can provide you during your stay if you are a fisherman or enjoy water sports.
