Our cottage is located on 40 riverside acres where we farm cattle within the quaint Nabiac village. Newly completed, this modern and stylish cottage boasts expansive views over paddocks and the river. Guests may decide to stay and enjoy the quiet farm life or use it as a basecamp to explore the local area. In a short drive, guests can explore pristine beaches and country markets. Or stay in Nabiac and enjoy great cafes and local shops. Your stay includes afternoon tea and a breakfast basket. Riverside Park Cottage is a recently completed, self contained cottage, while providing the best of smart and stylish convenience crossed with rustic country charm. The cottage features two bedrooms, both with expansive views over the nearby paddocks and adjoining river, where you can watch cattle roam lush pastures. An additional day bed can be pulled out to a third double-bed to accommodate additional guests. This is a perfect escape from the city, where a peaceful quiet ambience is only interrupted by bird and cattle calls. At night, soft beds will ensure you get a restful night’s sleep. The open living and kitchen area opens out to a surrounding deck, which flows to the nearby veggie gardens, picnic table by the river and the surrounding fields. New Braford calves often roam the paddocks adjoining the house yard, while bees buzz around the rose garden and native trees. At night, sunset greets a star-filled sky, ideal for stargazing. We are very aware of our environmental responsibilities and have recently added a Tesla power bank to compliment the days harvest of solar energy. Not only does this mean we are largely self efficient with our power, but we also contribute energy back to the grid. Your stay includes afternoon tea and a breakfast basket. The stay includes afternoon tea on arrival, often showcasing home grown or local ingredients. A breakfast basket is also provided for the next morning, including fresh fruit and bread. A kitchenette also provides a microwave oven, toaster, bar fridge and kettle for your convenience. Please note that there is no conventional oven in the kitchen. We will be in the main house next door and happy to help in any way. Guests are welcome to be a part of some general farming activities such as collecting the eggs or feeding the calves, or they can also have their own space - whatever suits. Nabiac has a fantastic coffee shop, "The Greenhouse", which is a frequent stop for travellers along the Pacific Highway. We also have a variety of shops including an IGA, chemist, retro shops, giftware and a general store. The town also has a showground, oval, tennis courts and public swimming pool. Private transport is a must as public transport is not available. We are 20 minutes from Forster and Taree where you can access beaches, restaurants, shopping and movie theatres. Earlier check in or later check out times can be negotiated with the hosts. This will be dependent upon availability, cleaning needs and other bookings.
