The Sugar Bach - Sweet Beach Retreat

The Sugar Bach is a 2 bedroom self contained bach with open lounge/dining area, galley kitchen, bathroom and private courtyard. Recently renovated with beach decor making you feel right at home. We offer a self service continental breakfast in the Sugar Bach which includes cereal, tinned fruit, toast and spreads. When we purchased the Sugar Bach it was in need of love. With Sugar and Spice we renovated and designed it for my Mum. It was our take on a retro kiwi bach with a homely feel. She has since moved on and now we share it with those who want to experience the beautiful Opunake community. It is located on the back of our property with a private courtyard with a bbq, fresh herbs and outdoor dining. We are central in Opunake and are also a short walk 5 min walk to the main beach, lake, community garden and Opunake Walkway. The Sugar Bach has its own private entrance and its own car parking space. We are just a stone throw away in the main house and are here to make sure you get the most out of your stay. If you need anything then don't be afraid to ask. The Sugar Bach is located on the Surf Highway 45, you can grab a coffee at Dreamtime Surf Shop, check one of the many local artists studios or grab a bite to eat at Headlands Restaurant just down the road. If you are into the outdoors then check out the Opunake Walkway or head down to the beach. The Sugar Bach centrally located in Opunake and walking distance to the town centre and Opunake Beach and Opunake Lake.
