'Wyndover' Mountain Retreat
A private, serene, and spacious, self-contained residence attached to the main house with your own private access, set amongst 3 acres of parkland gardens and rain forest, a great place to relax and unwind. For longer stays a continental breakfast is only included for the first 4 days. .The residence contains a large bedroom with a Queen sized bed & aircon, spacious shower room, an expansive open plan living space, significant dining area, well equipped kitchen and multiple seating areas inside and on the balcony. With its own private courtyard you have outdoor seating and a spa ( not heated ) lovely in the afternoon with a bottle of giggles. The land is there to be used, we planted all the trees some 20 years ago so feel free to walk around and make yourself comfortable. There is a large wood and gas fired BBQ with ample seating areas. Continental breakfast supplies are in the kitchen for the first 4 days of your stay with an Espresso machine and a selection of teas plus some other goodies when you first arrive. We can supply on request an Antipasto share board ( 4 days notice required ). Keep in mind you will be 15 minutes from the closest shops. We do have a Border Collie called Alfie please ensure you close the gate. .Parking is on site by the water tanks. . We are set in Lamington National Park which has many spectacular bush walks and a short drive to O'Rielly's a popular tourist destination. This is an amazing World Heritage region, it has the largest remaining stands of sub tropical rain forest in the World, ancient Antarctic beech forests, open Eucalyptus forests, heath country with wild flowers, wind eroded caves, mountain look outs and more. 30 minutes drive to Mt Tamborine and an hour to Springbrook. We are a short walk ( 500 metres ) to Denham Reserve/Back Creek Gorge with easy bush walking trail access to the Falls. We are 15 minutes from Canungra country village with its famous country pub and cafes, There are numerous wineries to tempt you on your way to O'Reilly's or Mount Tamborine. The house uses rain water so please be mindful of its use.
