This unique Holiday let is open plan so you can really appreciate the gothic splendour , with splendid views across the Teviot valley, the Study looks across to an historic Hill called Ruberslaw, an ancient pagan and religious place is d celebration. The Study is surrounded by fantastic scenery, historic castles and fabulous walking. Sited well in the heart of the conservation village of Minto the property enjoys to die for views and yet being only 1 miles from the thriving village of Denholm which boasts a whole host of hostelries, a village shop, petrol station, award winning butchers, Italian restaurant and bistro, good pubs with real ale and locally sourced homemade food. There is even an Antique and interiors centre and thriving folk club (Website hidden by Airbnb) In the building itself there is a large sitting area , raised dining area on the gallery with views across the valley , a unique kitchen built from reclaimed walnut and mahogany 19th century French Chateaux furniture , a huge gothic revival oak king size four poster bed . The property is entirely furnished with exquisite French and Scottish Antique furniture, mirrors and art. Persian rugs don the floors and there is a giant wood burning stove to great the perfect Scottish atmosphere . We can offer extra bedding and futon for children free of charge and well behaved dogs are welcome . On the property also we have a well appointed shepherds hut so if your kids don't mind sharing a bed then they can have a real adventure glamping in the garden . We also have all mod cons, Smart TV , free Wifi, well appointed kitchen with all appliances and a fully working Edwardian gramophone with plenty of records and spare needles. The wood for the stove is locally sourced kiln dried hardwood and with the coal together are free and included in the price . Due to cleaning costs we only let for a minimum of two nights . The Showeroom is fitted with the best sanitary ware from Thomas Crapper to Lefroy Brooks and all the bedding is Egyptian cotton . This We can also offer romantic breaks and by prior arrangement can supply flowers, Champagne and chocolates, the guests will also arrive to a burning log fire with a full basket of kiln dried logs. Well behaved dogs are welcome, there is a £10 extra charge per dog this covers extra cleaning of muddy paws and hair . Minto in a beautiful conservation village in the Teviot valley , surrounded by sublime countryside , wonderful hills and mountains , great walks , Minto golf course next door where non members can play , good fishing on the river Teviot less than one mile away . There are also great local pubs and shops in Denholm and Ancrum close by . Also you can discover the amazing and sometimes turbulent border history by visiting castles and strongholds locally and peruse the border towns for the very best cashmere and woollens in the world . Good public transport , taxis, car hire , classic car tours and train station 12 miles away . On arrival you will be greeted with a warm welcome , flowers , the fire will be burning away when cold .
