Charming holiday home in the middle of nature, Drombrow, Bantry, West Cork. One Bedroom with double bed. A great area for walking, cycling, daytrips. Lake nearby, riding facilities on site. This property is an unusual type of house, built as an octagonal one room living space, it has recently been completely renovated and a big bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with toilet and power-shower have been added. The original house contains a large modern kitchen, a big bright eating area and a comfortable place where you can sit and relax on a couch in front of the fireplace. in the centre of the building is the chimney with a new stove that can warm up the whole place even in winter and lets you feel at home anytime. This place would be ideal for one or two adults, with one big double bed in the bedroom. From the main door and the bedroom you have access to the outdoor sitting area and the garden. A warm sheltered place ! Bedlinen and towels are supplied, of course it's all your own space... if you like to explore our farm, you're welcome to do so. enjoy the view from the hill down to the lake or walk down to the shore. you might meet sheep, goats or horses on your way Decide to stay here ! you will enjoy your privacy in this place, yet Bantry is only 5 km away, a lovely irish town with well known Bantry House, many festivals during the year, a big market every Friday, pubs, restaurants, a ferry to Whiddy Island and more. From here you can make daytrips to the beautiful, yet not well known Beara Peninsula, or you choose the Sheeps Head route with its well known public walking ways, the Mizen Head with its lighthouse and nearby gorgeous sand strand at Barley Cove. KInsale, Skibbereen, Baltimore and Schull are smaller or bigger towns near or at the sea well worth a visit. You also might decide to travel to Glengarriff with the gardens on Garnish Island, or a bit farther to the town of Kenmare or visit Killarney and its lakes. From all trips you can come home anytime and enjoy your beautiful cottage. A special note for horse lovers: we own and breed horses, our daughter is an experienced riding instructor and well schooled horses and ponies are available for a hack in the beautiful Mealagh Valley or for a lesson indoors or outdoors, for beginners or advanced riders, Rent a bike : 2 bicycles would be ready to explore this beautiful area Sorry, no pets in the cottage
