It has an ironing board, iron, clothes drying rack, and hair dryer. *The apartment is a self catering entity, apart from what is described in the summary above, the kitchen is equipped also with: - coffee and tea mugs, - wine and beer glasses. - a large fridge/freezer, - electric kettle - Rice cooker/Steamer, - coffee maker (12 cups) - toaster, - microwave oven with grill. - Crockery and cutlery for four. - A round dining table with four dining chairs. - A small three piece sofa set with a coffee table. *Suitable for 2 adults and 1 child or 3 adults, furnished with a queen size bed and a single bed *Nice clean and spacious bathroom/toilet has a glass cubicle shower with hot water. CowrieShell property is 21 km from Moi International airport and 26km from SGR Mombasa- Between Nairobi and Mombasa the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) train passes through two national parks, passengers can have a nice view of wildlife from the train while they travel. Guests will have full use of the studio apartment and full access to the CowrieShell property and amenities. Upon check in, guests will be granted with a key card which provides access to the apartment as well as to the gym. I can be contacted via phone, email or (Whats*App) for any assistance. However there is a fully fledged 24 hour reception and friendly staff who will provide any assistance that might be needed. Bamburi beach is a clean, white sandy beach which attracts tourists all year round. There is a Nyali shopping complex close by, with grocery shops as well as cafes and restaurants. Go- Karting rink is within walking distance. Haller Park with animals and park is nearby. Along the beach there are numerous curio sellers with all kind of Kenyan souvenirs. There are other activities along the beach, jetskiiing, trips to the reef in glass bottom boats are available, walks to the reef when the tide is out, cayaking and lots more such as fishing trips can be organized if requested. Trips for wildlife safaris can also be arranged. Parking is available at the CowrieShell property free of charge. Cab service can be provided at reasonable rates if required. There are no additional charges; like electricity charges are included in the room rate. However, we request guests to please be conservative with the AC and stove usage. Airbnb Cleaning Fee charged with the booking: The cleaning fee charged is for cleaning the studio apartment once you check out at the end of your stay. In our rate, we include daily cleaning, which includes making up the beds, sweeping, mopping and utensil washing. Any duration of stay for more than a week, we include per week, one free linen and towels changes. Please let the reception know on which day you would like the linen and towels changed. For stays shorter than a week, only daily room cleaning is provided (no linen and towel change). For guests requiring any cleaning or linen changes other than the free service mentioned above, please arrange directly with the reception for a small fee. Shopping and Groceries - We recommend our guests to stop at a supermarket for groceries/requirements for anything they may need, as once at Cowrie Shell, there are no grocery provisions. CowrieShell can organize transport or assist with getting cabs/taxis, to make ease of travel to shops and Mombasa town.
