Come to Los Osos and experience California living! In our charming (brand new!) guest cottage, ocean breezes drift over the mountains, and lush greenery surrounds you. The petite open plan house is an ideal home base for solo travel, couples & families exploring the CA Coast! Sleeps up to 5: main room with kitchen, sitting area & queen bed; huge bathroom; and a bedroom with bunked XL double and 2 XL twin beds (4 kids or 3 adults). Easy drive to beaches, hiking, CalPoly, vineyards & dining! ***We have invested in supplies to thoroughly sanitize the space between guests so we can provide a germ-free getaway in these times of uncertainty. We are a secluded part of the central coast with lots of activities that don't involve contaminated public spaces (hiking, cooking at home, surfing, hot tubbing, biking, etc.). We think our guest house is a great way to enjoy a few days away without unnecessary risk. This space is not suitable for gatherings or parties. Whether you're planning a family vacation, visiting your student at Cal Poly, or you're a couple or solo traveler, we're excited to help you enjoy all the things that make Los Osos such a beautiful place. We like clean lines and uncluttered spaces, so that's what you'll find when you visit us! Our guest house sleeps five people and is mainly an open plan, with the main room that includes a kitchen (stocked for cooking simple meals, but not a turkey with all the trimmings), a sitting area, and a queen bed. Because there is only one bathroom and 3 of the beds are tucked into a bunk system in a separate small room, we generally don’t recommend this space for five adults. We want our guests to feel comfortable and not cramped. There is a large bathroom with a huge shower and floating sink and a bedroom with the best bunk bed in the world - a double bed on the bottom and two XL twins on top - sleeps four kids or three adults. A peaceful color scheme is accented with vibrant greens to connect the indoors with the verdant surroundings. Our house is at the other end of the property, so you have plenty of privacy, but we're on hand in case of any needs. We have parking for one car, and may be able to accommodate more if you send us a message before booking! (No more than two vehicles maximum.) Read on for more details on great things to do in the area, and after you book, we'll send you a longer list of things to do, as well as welcome instructions so you can focus on getting out and having fun - not figuring out how your Airbnb works. :) Come #livelososos with us and see what the magic is all about! My husband and I have our house at the other end of the property, and I work from home. Our guest cottage has a smart lock, so you can come and go without ever meeting us, but we're available in case you need us - Airbnb messenger is the best way to reach us, but you can also call if you have an urgent question. Los Osos is great for what's here and what's nearby! Right in town, there are great little restaurants, including the Beerwood (great outdoor dining) and the Los Osos Farmers Market. It's an easy scenic drive to San Luis Obispo (great shopping and dining next to Cal Poly; 20 mins), and we're very conveniently located for kayaking in the bay, exploring the Elfin Forest walking trail, or getting some sand and sun at Sandspit Beach Los Osos (all roughly 10 minutes drive). Our neighborhood is safe, friendly, and inclusive, so whatever your path - feel welcome! #livelososos means enjoying the best of life: beauty, simplicity, great food & the great outdoors. Because of California's vast stretches of undeveloped nature, we're a driving state. Most of our guests have cars, which we recommend to get the most out of visiting the area. We're about 3 hours from LAX, and United & American have flights into San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. If you want to enjoy a night out without driving home, Uber or Lyft are reasonable ($15-$20, 15-20 minute drive from San Luis Obispo or Morro Bay restaurants).
