A cosy and tranquil converted stable in our courtyard, perfect for a weekend getaway among the Welsh countryside. We are close to so many incredible places to visit and are a short drive away to good restaurants, pubs and shops. We provide items for your first few breakfasts to prepare yourselves with a freshly made loaf of bread on the first morning. There is also a pub serving good within walking distance. It has a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, kitchenette and living area with log-burning stove. The kitchen has a kettle, double hob, small oven, microwave, fridge and sink and there is a table and chairs for two. There is kitchen equipment for cooking simple meals and all the crockery you will need. The bed has down duvets and pillows and pure Egyptian cotton sheets. We provide you with the basic food items for your first few breakfasts (including eggs laid by our chickens and home made marmalade and jam) and we deliver a freshly made loaf of bread on the first morning . If we have fruit ripe on the farm we are happy to share with you if in abundance. The Stable has its own front door with a table and chair for sitting out in the sun in the courtyard. You are welcome also to enjoy our garden Check in: 3pm and out: 10am. But if we're not booked either side of your stay, we can be flexible. The Stable has its own access with parking next to it. You can also use a shared laundry if needed. You can walk from the property over our fields with outstanding views and a small beech wood. Perfect to enjoy for taking a picnic when the sun shines. (We can provide a picnic basket and blanket with the necessary crockery) Bluebells in May is the best time! We live in the main house opposite if you need anything. We like to leave you in peace but also love imparting some local knowledge if required! Our farmhouse has stunning views over the Monmouthshire countryside - spectacular in every season. We are close to the lovely market towns of Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny and there are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. The Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Wye Valley are all within 45 minutes drive. There are many activities and things to do and see - we have plenty of leaflets on what to do in the Stable and are delighted to help with suggestions. We would recommend having a car but we are walking distance from a bus route between Newport and Monmouth too. The very popular Hall Inn pub with good traditional food is within a five minute walking distance and a number of good pubs and restaurants are within easy reach in Usk and Raglan, both only 2 miles drive away.
