This cosy 1 bedroom cottage in the centre of Clitheroe is the perfect location to explore the beautiful Ribble Valley, attend weddings in the area, visit the wine bars and real ale houses and enjoy the many festivals held in the town. Newly refurbished, the cottage has an enclosed outside space and is a short walk from the many bars, shops, railway and bus stations. The host will provide a warm welcome and can share extensive local knowledge to help you relax and get the most from your visit. The one bedroom has a king sized bed but there is a sofa bed in the lounge on request if guests would rather sleep separately or for children. There is seating for only two guests, but cutlery, crockery, etc for four. Please note that the stairs are quite steep so may be difficult for anyone with poor mobility. The whole house is available The host will welcome guests and provide any advice about the local area if needed Clitheroe is a historic market town with a famous Norman castle surrounded by a lovely park. The town has many well know locally owned businesses eg Byrne’s wine shop, Bowland brewery, Dawson’s and The Grand as well as being surrounded by many stunning villages and at the foot of Pendle Hill. It is a great base for walking, cycling and exploring the area. There are regular train services and buses linking Clitheroe will local towns but a car is recommended to explore the local countryside. There is a taxi rank in the centre of town. The area is paradise for walkers as it covers part of the Ribble Way, the Pendle Witches Way, and Tolkien Trail, is next to Pendle Hill and The Forest of Bowland and not far from the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the coast. It is also in a central location to visit Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. Tea, coffee and a welcome pack will be provided on the day of arrival
