Beach apartment in " Spiti Anatoli"
Studios for 2 pers. in a charming beach villa , without any road between the villa and the beach : it stands directly on the golden sandy beach of Karfas. Beach-lovers could not wish for a better location at the quietest end of BEACH. A cluster of tamarisk trees provides welcome shade on the beach. The shaded terrace facing the beach, offers the best sea view. There is a single sofa for an extra pers. in the bedroom. Spiti Anatoli "the sea at your door step", is divided into studios (2/3pers.) and 2 or 3 room-apartments (4/6pers.). The studios are independant with their own entrance and terrace overlooking the Aegean sea and the Turkish coast . Built right on the beach of Karfas, there is no road between the house and the sea. The sea view is fantastic. The place is suitable for families or couples. You have a direct access on the golden sandy beach of Karfas in a quiet place but not isolated (shops, restaurants, tavernas are 300 meters away). Chios Island is the sunniest part of Greece, and a typical Greek island because protected by mass tourism. Karfas is the most convenient place to stay because located in the center, so easy to explore the island from that spot. Each studio (2/3 pers) has its own kitchenette, bathroom and terrasse. We offer bed linen, sun chairs for the beach & transfer from the airport . A car may be recommended to visit the island : The owners have a car rental licence and can arrange it for you. The owners live in the same place, so can help you with any information concerning the island of Chios. The minimum stay is 2 days at least in the low season ans 5 in the middle & high season. In Karfas, you can make your choice between 10 tavernas and restaurants (which are 4 open in Winter). 3 mini markets are 300m. away (there are closed in winter time but a big super market is all year round open 1,5 miles away). The bakery is all year round open. There are buses every 1-2 hours that bring you to Chios-town in 10 minutes (in winter time 4 buses/day). Chios is a blissfully quiet island with a wealth of things to see. Hugely mountainous in the north, flattish but undulating in the south, it is a paradise for bird-watchers and for botanists who will find here the greatest concentration of wild orchids anywhere in Europe. There are several monasteries, including the famous Nea Moni from UNESCO in the middle of the island. The mediaeval villages of Olympia, Mesta and Pyrghi should not be missed. Their narrow streets, tiny squares and, in Pyrghi, the extraordinary geometrical patterns on every house are fascinating. In the middle of the island near Avgonyma is the deserted village of Anavatos, now being slowly re-populated, but it remains basically a memorial to the villagers who threw themselves off its perpendicular cliff-side to avoid capture by the Ottomans.
