COSY MANSARDA IN DOLOMITES

14 KM FROM CORTINA TYPICAL MOUNTAIN MINI APARTMENT: 1 BEDROOM, BATHROOM, LIVING WITH SOFA BED AND FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHENETTE. IDEAL FOR A COUPLE OR A FAMILY WITH ONE OR TWO KIDS. POGGIOLO WITH SUPERB VIEW ON MONTE PELMO. The house is located in the middle of the village thus, within a few minute walk, you can reach shops, the bus stop, the supermarket, the pharmacy, the bank, the post office, etc….. and the store where skis in wintertime or bicycles in summertime can be rent. Cortina and its ski areas are just 14 km away, while the closest ski area (3 Km) is located in S. Vito di Cadore and is also connected to Borca by a direct ski bus line. A bicycle lane that develops along the old route of the former Dolomites railway passes nearby the house. The lane connects Borca di Cadore to all other villages of the valley from Calalzo to Cortina and then continues to Dobbiaco and can also be used for pleasant and comfortable walks in the green. Instead, should you elect to spend some time outdoors without moving from Borca, the Happy Park is also available nearby the house: the park is well equipped with playground for children, a covered and illuminated skating rink, tennis and bowls courts and a pavilion for band concerts in summertime. There is also a Coffee-shop/Restaurant where you can have lunch or simply drink an aperitif or, if it is cold, the typical "vin brûlé" and at the same time enjoy a great panorama over the mountains. A dedicated parking area for 3 vehicles max is available in front to the building. Although I may not be available in person, I will be more than happy at any time to provide my guests with assistance by email or by phone to the best of my capabilities. Borca di Cadore is a mountain sunny village located in the middle of the Boite valley in the northern part of the Veneto region. It lies at an altitude of 942 meters above sea , 14 km from Cortina and not far from Venice. It is a perfect location where spending summer and winter holidays and which allows day trips suitable to all levels of physical training: from the simplest walks along the route of the former railway of the Dolomites to the climbing of surrounding peaks. As skiing areas, the famous Cortina skiing areas are located 14 Km from Borca, alternatively the S. Vito skiing area is even closer (4 KM from Borca only). Borca di Cadore is located at the foot of Mount Antelao, the King of the Dolomites, and is one of the villages of Cadore from which you can enjoy the view of Mount Pelmo, called the Caregón de 'l Padreterno (the Throne of Padreterno). Regular bus lines connect Borca di Cadore to/from Mestre railways station as well as Cortina and Dobbiaco. Information book on the house, both in the Italian and in the English languages, is available to guests in the apartment.
