Athena's Country House

The ideal choice for family vacation and for those who seek to enjoy the beauty of southern Crete in a place full of peace. The house is 70 sq.m with 2 bedrooms, one living room with a fireplace, one fully equipped kitchen & one bathroom. Outside, there is a large fenced garden, full of trees, parking, a barbecue place as well as a wood oven. At night, the sky offers a tremendous feast of lights, while a lot of local animals (such as hedgehogs and ferrets) make their appearance. The house is located outside Moires in the valley of Messara, a place with a fascinating history that goes back to 4000 BC. It is in the center of the valley which makes it ideal for people who want to visit every beach in the southern part of Crete. From there, one can easily access Matala beach, Komos beach, Vathi Beach, Kaloi Limenes beach, Kalamaki beach, Aghia Galini beach and Aghiofarago beach. Moreover, Unesco’s heritage site Phaistos Palace is located only 10km away from the house and it’s a must see for everyone visiting Crete. Finally, the town of Moires is only 5 minutes away, where someone can find supermarket, gas station, groceries and fresh fruits as well as pharmacies and ATM. Antonis and Athena are available for any help the guest might need throughout their stay. The neighborhood is an underpopulated place with 3 country houses nearby. The passage of the cars is very rare since the road in front of the house is a dirt road and that does not allow the cars to run in great speeds which makes the place extra safe for the children.
