Old Tuscan country house in Montepulciano!

The Villa "Podere Ascianellino" is a romantic refurbished farmhouse set between vineyards and olive trees with a beautiful 8x8 meters pool. Just 7 minutes drive to the centre of Montepulciano! Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, Hospital are very close by. Perfect for the lovers of privacy and marvelous sunsets and to explore some of the most romantic towns of Tuscany: Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Cortona etc... At only 45 minutes are the art cities of Siena and Arezzo! Close to hot springs and spa! The garden with the pool, the loggia with the large table and the built in BBQ, the house itself with his rustic charm, the huge fire place in the living room… The entire property is for the guests We will be always reachable and our house keeper will come to the house when ever is needed. In the surrounding area of the villa you can visit the enchanting town of Montepulciano with its architectural and artistic attractions (Etruscan, Roman, Medioeval, Reinassance, Baroque) and its ‘cantines’ where you can taste and buy the Nobile di Montepulciano, one of the top wine if Tuscany. Nearby is the lake of Trasimeno, as are the beautiful Unesco protected valleys of Val D'Orcia and Val di Chiana, the towns of Pienza, Cortona, Chiusi, Cetona, San Quirico D'Orcia, all famous for their artistic heritage, and Montalcino where again you can visit its ‘cantine’ where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced. In autumn, spring or winter there are the thermal towns of Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagni San Filippo, where you may enjoy a hot thermal bath and relax in one of the several spas. The picturesque small towns of Monticchiello, Montefollonico and Lucignano d'Asso are definitely worth a visit as is the Basilica of Monte Uliveto Maggiore with its magnificent frescos. The fabled cities of Siena and Arezzo are only a 45 minute drive away. Not much further are Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto and Florence. We are forced to collect local taxes when you arrive at the villa. It is just one euro per adult per day. Sorry about that but is the law and the council checks Airbnb to see the amount of tourists we receive. The collected taxes is than given to the council to promote arts and tourist events.
