The Byre offers quiet, comfortable and character-full accommodation minutes away from the centre of the historical town of Aberfeldy. The former cow byre at 19A has been converted into a two story semi-detached house with two bedrooms and a newly refurbished bathroom upstairs and open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room downstairs, plus a small porch. Guests can sit out on the patio or in the large garden. There is high speed fibre optic wifi throughout. Covid-19 Guests should be reassured that all necessary measures are in place to ensure the safety of guests during this difficult period: a gap of at least 3 days is left between each set of visitors; all linen, towels, duvets and pillows are changed after guests leave; all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before guests arrive; all unnecessary soft furnishings have been removed; new, unopened toiletries will be supplied for all new guests. The accommodation comprises one double room and one twin bedded room. There is also a newly refurbished, good-sized, bathroom with a walk-in electric shower. All linen and towels are supplied. The property has electric heating throughout, including an electric stove as a focal point in the sitting room. Guests can enjoy the sun-trap patio in front of the house or can make full use of the large garden to the rear of the property. There is a private, gated, car park attached to the house which will accommodate one car for 19A, in a designated parking bay. There is also free parking on Kenmore Street. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a washing machine. High speed fibre optic Wifi is available throughout the property and TV, DVD and video players are supplied. Books, games, videos and DVDs are available for guests to enjoy. This is a traditional stone built property which will comfortably accommodate two adults and two children, or four adults. Guests have full, exclusive, use of the property including access to the large garden to the rear. I will usually be there to meet guests on arrival and am contactable by email, text or mobile phone. The property benefits from its proximity to all the amenities offered in Aberfeldy itself – numerous restaurants, the Watermill bookshop and café, plenty of interesting and unusual shops, and the recently refurbished Birks cinema. The Breadalbane Community Centre is to the rear of the property and provides a swimming pool, sauna and other sports and leisure opportunities. The Moness Country Club also has a swimming pool and leisure activities. All types of water sports are available in Aberfeldy and nearby Kenmore, on Loch Tay. There are many beautiful walks within or near Aberfeldy such as the famous Birks of Aberfeldy, Weam forest walk and public walkways along the river Tay. There are very many longer walks slightly further afield to suit all levels of ability. Aberfeldy also offers a golf course, tennis courts, bowling green and putting green and, of course, provides a central location for visiting all the numerous sights and attractions that Perthshire has to offer. There are a number of local golf courses and many wonderful and varied walks. The nearest airports are Glasgow and Edinburgh from where it is, approximately, a one and three quarter hour drive to Aberfeldy. There are train stations at Dunkeld and Pitlochry, both of which are about twenty minutes away. A car would really be required, however, to reach Aberfeldy from any of these airports and stations. The property has a private gated carpark with one designated space allocated to THE BYRE. There is also free parking available on Kenmore Street. The garden belonging to the house is to the rear of the car park.
