Cosy Studio for two Ramsbottom

This is a very relaxing completely self-contained studio in very quiet surroundings yet only a few minutes walk from delicious eateries and quirky bars in Ramsbottom and Holcombe Brook. It is perfect for couples who enjoy the great outdoors (you can walk onto the West Pennine Moors from the house) or for those just looking for a private retreat in which to unwind. Plenty of free unrestricted on street parking. The studio is situated in our back garden in an exceptionally quiet and peaceful residential avenue, approximately one mile from Ramsbottom village centre but with plenty of eateries and amenities within 5 minutes walk. Please read the 'The Neighbourhood' section. You are welcome to sit in the garden which is something of a sun trap. What could be nicer than sitting with a coffee or your breakfast in the garden? The studio is accessed via a key safe meaning you can arrive and let yourself in at a time to suit you. ( after 4pm but preferably before 9 pm please. Please contact me if you need to arrive later, I like to meet our guests!) The studio comes with a very comfortable King-size bed where you can relax watching the flat screen HDTV with Freesat and Chromecast capability. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, teapot, mugs and wine glasses and basic cutlery. A continental breakfast basket is provided ( tea, coffee, cereals, yoghurt, bread to toast, jam) There is a wardrobe with hangers and drawers to store your clothes. A pull-down table allows for lap top space (free Wifi included) or for eating. The nature of the studio means you can be completely separate from the house and retain your privacy. Alternatively we would be very happy to meet you! Within 5 minutes walk we have the following: Hoysters- a quirky New York-inspired bar and eatery. Excellent cocktails and tapas. Open We-Sun. The Hare and Hounds- traditional pub often hosting Beer festivals. Al Bosco- Italian Restaurant The Hamers Arms - traditional pub with open fire and beer garden The Footballers - a community pub with 6 real ales on offer. Beer garden with Pennine views. Summerseat Garden Centre- delicious cakes and meals as well as gifts and the usual garden stock. Ramsbottom Centre ( 15- 20 walk or cheap taxi) There are lots of super places to eat here and Ramsbottom has gained attention for being a food-lover's destination. Some of the restaurants and bars are listed below but this list is not exhaustive; these are just a few! Cardamom Cream - Upmarket Indian Levanter - Serves very authentic Spanish tapas and our personal favourite. Has been reviewed and recommended by Jay Rayner -London food critic. Reasonable prices but small and popular so need to book. The Spice Garden - Thai food. Gorgeous food and reasonable prices. Baratxuri - another Spanish tapas and sister restaurant to Levanter. Drinc- café bar which often has live music at the weekend. The Hungry Duck- great coffee and cake, lunches and evening meals. The Chocolate Café- A chocoholic's Heaven- café upstairs and chocolate shop downstairs. Irwell Works Brewery - good selection of standard beers plus real ale , craft beer and two real ciders. Weekly live music at the weekend. China Cottage - Chinese. Good all-you-can eat Sunday buffet. XLII Café/ wine bar The Doghouse Jazz Bar - weekend live music, not always jazz inspired. Need to book in advance. Walking- you can walk from our house onto the West Pennine Moors or along part of the Irwell Sculpture trail towards Burrs Country Park. There are scenic reservoirs to walk around within a few minutes drive. Buses 472, 474 and 477 serve Bury (3-4 miles) and Ramsbottom. From Bury, you can get the Metrolink ( tram) into Manchester. Bed linen, towels, toiletries ( shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and toilet paper) are provided along with a hairdryer. An iron is available on request.
