River, Beach & Bush

This beautifully appointed cabin is a look away from the river, minutes’ walk to the beach and minutes’ drive to the bush. We are located at the stunning Thames Coast, nestled between the Coromandel Forest Park and the Firth of Thames. Our place is perfect for a couple wishing to stay comfortably and be close to the water, enjoy the outdoors, explore the Coromandel Peninsula or simply relax. The Thames street market, local art and cafes are nearby. Hiking tracks are right at our doorstep. The comfortable king size bed and fresh interior would be a great base for your weekend away. Although small, our place has everything you need. A bathroom including shower, a kitchen equipped for making your own meals and Freeview TV for further entertainment. Free Wifi is available for e-mails or light use. Additional data for downloading movies etc. is available for purchase. Our sunny little house is part of a holiday park being elevated and facing away from the park towards the river. All park amenities can be used such as the Laundry, Barbeque area, boat parking, boat washing and fish cleaning area. There is so much to do and see in the local area such as hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, discovering the Coromandel’s goldmining history or marvelling at the local art. It is a great base from which to explore the Coromandel’s many tourist attractions: Coromandel town, Kauri trees, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and many, many more. Hiking tracks through the Coromandel Forest Park are right at our doorstep. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the Waiomu Café (5 minute drive way) or at the many cafes and restaurants in Thames (15 minute drive away). The Thames street market offers local produce, arts, crafts and collectibles every Saturday morning. Thames also has a large supermarket and there is a local store and takeaway in Te Puru. Te Puru is about a 1.5 hour drive from Auckland and Hamilton and not quite 2 hours from Tauranga.
