Luke’s Hill is a picturesque, tranquil retreat in the stunning Hawkesbury region of NSW, Australia. Just a short drive from the small historic village of St. Albans, this beautiful, secluded six acre homestead is a haven of rolling gardens and natural paddocks. The contemporary-meets-classic property provides all the comforts of the perfect holiday-house and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Parties and events are not allowed. With 5 generous bedrooms, Luke's Hill Homestead is the perfect place for an indulgent country escape. Luke’s Hill Homestead is rented to guests for exclusive use. This means that the Main Residence, the Cottage and the gardens are rented as a whole for the ultimate in privacy and seclusion. Please note that the person making the booking must be aged 25 or over. The Main House: This bright and spacious residence sleeps a maximum of 8 adults. Two master bedrooms with king beds, balconies and A/C Garden-access bedroom with king bed Please note: all king beds can be reconfigured into twin bed configurations. There are two additional trundle beds that can also be set up in either of the master bedrooms if desired to accommodate two more guests in the those rooms. The perimeters of the main part of property are fully secured and fenced. Access to the other areas is allowed. These have been secured by coded padlocks. If you use these areas, please ensure that any children staying at the property are supervised at all times, especially near the dam area. All guests will be met with by a representative of the property at check-in and given a walk through of the property and its amenities. Luke's Hill is on the edge of national parkland and has immediate access to the historic St Albans Common which is perfect for invigorating country walks or bike rides. 4km away is the small village of St Albans. The main hub of activity centres around the Settlers Arms Inn where you grab a coffee, lunch, dinner or take-away wines and beers. Wiseman's Ferry village is 20 minutes away and is a hub for watersports. The nearest vineyards in the Hunter Valley are an hours drive As this is a rural area, car or bike are the best forms of transport. The nearest public transport (bus) is in Wiseman's Ferry which is 25km from the property. If you are planning on doing a lot of walking then we do suggest a good pair of walking shoes and a quick pace! As this stunning property is located in a secluded, rural area, please be aware that mobile phone reception is scarce on most networks. However, there is a fully functioning landline that you are free to use to make local & national calls or calls to mobiles within Australia. Both the Main House and The Cottage do have wifi. However, NBN and cable haven't quite made it out to our neck of the woods yet so internet speed can vary on occasions, especially in adverse weather conditions or if there are a lot of devices connected at the same time. If in the extremely unusual circumstance that the phone lines are down there is a Telstra Air facility in St Albans (4km away).
