Cosy rural cottage in lovely big Cheshire garden

Welcome to the Mariannerie! This cosy cottage nestles under two enormous oak trees in a large garden, with views over open fields. Our family of 5 people plus 2 Airedale Terriers will give you a warm welcome and will do everything we can to help you enjoy your stay. Simply furnished and comfortable, you can relax inside the cottage or explore the garden - using the hammock, the fire-pit, or the BBQ, or just sitting in the damson orchard admiring the blossom! The Mariannerie is a self contained cottage in a large garden. In front of it is the gravel driveway shared with the main house, and behind, open fields. We have just invested in a huge king sized bed for your good night's sleep, and there is a large circular table for enjoying meals or using as a work space. Eat and work while gazing at the view! The well-equipped kitchen has an under-counter fridge, gas hob and combination microwave / convection oven, as well as all the pans, oven dishes etc you need to cook up a feast! Of course, anything else you require we will be happy to lend out of our own kitchen. You are welcome to put your items in our chest freezer in the shed, and to make use of our washing machine in the main house utility room. The Mariannerie is very conveniently located for access to Manchester Airport, Manchester, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, North Wales, Liverpool, the Peak District and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Thus we can offer stunning walking routes, fantastic travel links, world-class shopping facilities and oodles of industrial and cultural history all within an hour's drive. Garden, BBQ, fire pit, washing machine in house, freezer in shed We are happy to provide pointers while you are here and answer questions face to face to help you get the most out of your stay, but please bear in mind that we have our own busy family life going on, and we won't be 'hanging out' with you for that reason! When you are not at the Mariannerie you can contact us using texts and emails. Canals, historic towns, beautiful countryside, friendly locals... What more can we say?! Car travel if you want door to door; from Alsager (1.5 miles) we have regular buses to Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe; from Alsager we have regular trains to Crewe, London and Derby; from Crewe we have regular train connections in every direction. Manchester Airport is easily accessible by train from Sandbach (3 miles). By separate negotiation we may be able to pick you up / drop you off at various points for public transport. Also by separate negotiation we may be able to provide parking for your vehicle at the top of our garden while you fly from Manchester Airport for a holiday abroad. We have two young Airedale Terrier bitches who are part of our family. They have access to the driveway and the garden immediately around the house and Mariannerie, but not the hammock lawn, vegetable patch or orchard area. They spend part of every day in their kennel but plenty running free and in our house. It is important to check that they are safely in their kennel / our house before opening the front gates to the road, whether arriving or leaving! If we are expecting your arrival, we will have done that part. They are super friendly, but if you are not happy with dogs this may not be the place for you. We do not allow them entry into the Mariannerie, so your place is a dog-free zone! From time to time one of them will have a litter of cute Airedale puppies ❤️❤️, so you may be lucky enough to be part of that excitement if your visit coincides with a whelping. As they mature they need plenty of contact with humans, so there would be opportunities to cuddle, feed and play with them if you were interested! It's quite a lot of work between about 4 weeks old and 8-10 weeks when they go to their new homes. All assistance gratefully received!
