Baldo’s House was the old watermill and oil mill of the village of Corsagna, ancient medieval burg within the municipality of Borgo a Mozzano, located 360 meters above sea level, just 30 minutes drive from the city of Lucca and within driving distance of one of nature's most beautiful areas of Tuscany: the Garfagnana valley between the Alpi Apuane and the Apennine Tosco-Emiliano. The magnificent location on which the house stands affords splendid views:over the valleys, the village and the surrounding hills and mountains. The road leading to Corsagna offers a very special scenery to those who love nature, as it winds its way through woods and fields, destination of hikes and of horse and mountain bike rides. The house is dating back to XIX century and it has been wisely renovated by Baldo, grandson of Michele and Pia, while maintaining its original character: the external structure of the cottage has been left unchanged and renovating the interior spaces in faithful Tuscan style.  Baldo’s house is a traditional Tuscan style apartment, inside, the ceilings are typical of the old Tuscan farmhouses, with flat terracotta bricks and wooden beams and rafters, stone walls, cotto and parquet floors. The comfortable furnishing is in the Lucchese style. The property has a large garden (150 sqm) crossed by the millpond a gora, small artificial stream that once brought water to the mill wheel, equipped with above ground pool (meters L4xL2H1), barbecue, tables and chairs for pleasant outdoor dining and sunbeds and a wide outside patio, in front of the main entrance, which is accessed from the entrance gate. The total area of the house is 120 square meters divided on three floors. A spacious and bright living area on the middle floor with large LCD television, sofa and comfortable armchairs and large fireplace, with a small covered porch leading to the garden. On this floor the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, kettle and coffeemaker. Upstairs is a bedroom, Aunt Gina’ s room, with king size bed (71 in × 79 in) also divisible and a single bed. Downstairs two more bedrooms: Aunt Irene’s room, with double bed (51 in × 75 in) and the Grandparents Michael and Pia’ s room, with king size bed (71 in × 79 in) also divisible and with the possibility of an extra single bed and two bathrooms with shower (one also with bathtub). All rooms have windows with panoramic views and parquet floors. We live a few steps from the house and for any need we will be with you in a few minutes! In Corsagna, in addition to food and household goods stores, you can find the historic family restaurant Branduzzi known for its tortelli and its wood-fired pizzas. Baldo’s House rises on a wonderful naturalistic area in Tuscany: the Garfagnana valley between the Alpi Apuane and the Apennine Tosco-Emiliano. It is possible to reach the house only on foot just in 2 minutes from the private parking place.
