Quinta da Fonteireira is located in Queluz - Belas. It is near Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra. A beautiful forest surrounds it, it has a swimming pool, tennis court, and a french-inspired garden. It is near golf courts. The origin of "Quinta da Fonteireira" dates back to 1525. In 1842 it became property of the Pinto Basto family. The owner was the director of major porcelain factory of Vista Alegre, founded by his father, José Ferreira Pinto Basto, political, liberal and one of the builders of the modern Portuguese economy. Eduardo, a businessman and art lover, asked Raul Lino to restore the house in 1916 This architect, born in the nationalist atmosphere of the nineteenth century, was one of the founders of the Portuguese House Movement. The set, towed colour pink, designed with great imagination and care, give a fairy tale look, with its turrets, its chimneys, its porches, balconies and low walls, tall windows, galleries, stairs and multiple banks lined with tile. Next to the gardens is the swimming pool. The property is surrounded by a vast and beautiful forest area. This house has a total area of 114 m2 spread over one floor: two bedrooms with double bed; one small bedroom with a sofa bed; one bathroom; one large living room with a fireplace; one equipped kitchen. Due to its special characteristics and its gardens, the space has served as a setting for the recording of some Portuguese soap operas and mini series co-produced with Spain, namely: Fúria de Viver (2002); A Outra (2006); Na Corda Bamba (2019); Caminhos de Santiago (2020). You can use the swimming pool, the old tennis court, gardens, woods and parking. There is always someone available for any clarification or additional support. “Quinta da Fonteireira” is located in Belas. It is close to the main cities - Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais - and next to the Queluz Palace. It is set in a vast private forest area where pleasant walks can be made. It also has two french-inspired gardens, a swimming pool and a tennis court. The golf courses of Belas Clube de Campo and Lisbon Sports Club are within 5 km. In “Quinta do Senhor da Serra”, next to the Belas garden, stands the Equestrian Center, with three riding stables (one covered and two discovered) and 28 boxes. On request, horseback riding is organized. Arriving at the Palace of Queluz, follow in the direction of Belas, continuing straight ahead in the various roundabouts or crossroads. In Belas, take the national road 117 (N 117). To the right you will see: church; exit to the cemetery; small houses; holiday colony of EPAL (white building); two gates together, enter the second, where it says "Quinta da Fonteireira" (km 10.45 at N117). The access is done by a private road. The best option is to have your own car or rent a car. Alternatively you can always use the taxi service. The nearest bus station is a 15-minute walk away, next to the Belas garden. The nearest train stations are "Queluz-Belas" or "Monte Abraão".
