Converted Stable "Another Place" Formby Cottages

A one bedroom converted stable on a small equestrian centre. If you wish to bring your pet, just let us know. It's beautiful location is perfect for exploring the Sefton Coast. Adjacent to 'Formby Point' (one double bedroom cottage) and 'Strawberry Fields' ( 2 - 3 bedroom cottage to sleep 4/6 - see separate listings on this site. Sited on South Moss Stud, Formby Equestrian is primarily an equine centre providing high class livery. Situated on 17 acres, the area is secure and the stables are a brick built American style barn. We have our own ponies, dogs, rabbits, a number of very happy chickens and ducks, a few sheep, 2 KuneKune pigs and budgies, not to mention the wild life. Guests have access to all areas. Wi-fi is available. This cottage is adjacent to 'Formby Point', with a lockable interconnecting door, making the two of them ideal for two couples or a family. Sarah lives on site with her family. There is someone available at all times. Formby beach is within easy hacking distance as are the Cheshire Lines and the Trans Pennine Trail. Formby is peppered with cycle paths giving access to Southport to the north and Antony Gormley’s Iron Men (Another Place) to the south. Liverpool is 12 miles south and Southport 9 miles north of South Moss Stud. Formby Hall Spa and Golf Club is less than a mile away. The Stud is adjacent to an established show centre offering regular for showjumping, dressage and showing/riding club competitions. Formby boasts many coffee shops and restaurants as well as being home to the National Trust Red Squirrel Reserve (Formby Point). Mersey Rail network, Freshfields being the closest station, provides access to Liverpool or Southport every 15mins. There is free parking at the station. We have a number of cycles that are available. We are very close to the Trans Pennine Trail and the Cheshire Lines. The fridge is left stocked with a continental breakfast to start you off. There is a microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. A BBQ is available. There is outside seating. The price of stabling for horses is available on request. There is excellent hacking on the beach.
