Painters Field, Quenington

This Cotswold cottage is perfect for a country get-away. Made of Cotswold stone and recently modernised inside, it has a fresh new look whilst still feeling like a cosy country cottage. On the edge of the Coln valley, there are endless stunning walks and places to explore. There are 2 village pubs in short walking distance as well as a shop and a cafe open 7 days a week. Fairford is only 3 miles away which has more shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Follow on (Hidden by Airbnb) @paintersfield There is a small table in the kitchen for dining, and also a conservatory which leads off of the kitchen and can be opened up to let the sun in. The small hard standing garden is south facing and there is plenty of room to sit outside to enjoy the sun. It does not get overlooked by the neighbours. Pets are welcome downstairs. There are some fantastic walks on your doorstep to make it a holiday for them too. There’s a spacious lounge with a lovely bay window looking over the road to the trees opposite. A downstairs loo off the hall as well. Upstairs there are two decent size bedrooms, one double and one king size bed and a bathroom with a modern shower. Self check in, I am available on the phone or via message if any problems Quenington is a lovely quiet village with a friendly atmosphere. There’s the Keepers Arms which serves good food and has outdoor seating with heaters and also the New Inn at Coln St Aldwin is a short walk away too and has lots of outdoor space and good food. In Coln there is also a village shop and a cafe open seven days a week, perfect for stopping off for breakfast during a morning walk. Quenington lies in the heart of the Cotswolds where there is so much to see. If you are looking at exploring further afield then you will need a car. If you are after a short quiet break then you can leave the car on the drive and walk to the pubs and shop and explore the stunning Coln Valley The town of Bibury is only a couple of miles away too and is a lovely walk to get to it. There is a shed outside in the garden which lies behind a locked gate so if you are bringing bikes or anything else then you can store them in there
