Cosy Victorian Double

Our place is close to River Severn, Royal Worcester Museum, Worcester Cathedral,The Commandry, The Hive, dozens of fabulous restaurants and coffee shops, Worcester University, a regular bus route.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and commuters. Our guest room has a double bed and a rear aspect window that overlooks our garden, which you are welcome to take advantage of. There is a comfortable double with king size duvet and feather pillows. (If you are allergic to feathers please ask for an alternative). The room has a radiator and an air cooling fan/heater. Several powerpoints, a small flatscreen TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. You are also welcome to make a snack in our kitchen. There is also a huge bookcase within your room which you are free to take advantage of. Whilst we are a non smoking household we are happy for our guests to smoke in our garden. We are able to supply a single cube bed which is an occasional "put you up" bed but very comfortable. However it should be noted that this bed whilst comfortable is really only suitable for a small adult or child.. Please feel free to use our lounge and kitchen and use the upstairs shower room and toilet which you'll have sole use of but probably best to avoid the downstairs bathroom and utility area without our presence as our dogs have a tendency to jump up through excitement. There will always be someone on hand to help or give local advice. We are regular travellers ourselves and understand that not every guest is the same. We love having people to stay and thoroughly enjoy interacting with our guests but also understand that some of our guests are tired, have work to do before a next day meeting or may just want to be left alone. Whatever you prefer, we're happy to accommodate your needs. This is a popular residential area with a mix of modern, Victorian and Edwardian properties. We have a mini Sainsburys approximately 10 minutes walk away and a CO OP store 10 minutes walk in the opposite direction. There is also a Spar garage and shop only 3-4 minutes walk from our property. We have several restaurants in the area including The Raven, The Perdiswell and The Bull at Fernhill Heath all excellent value. If you venture into the city (around 25 minutes walk) there are dozens of coffee shops and restaurants. Our favourites are Saffrons, King Charles restaurant and Ostlers situated next to The Swan Theatre, ideal for a pre theatre dinner. We live in an old Victorian/Edwardian area of north Worcester with easy access to bus routes, pleasant canal walks in both directions and if you walk towards the city centre along the canal you will eventually end up at the stunning Worcester Cathedral and Royal Worcester Museum. This route is around 30 mins walk. We also have bikes so should you feel like a cycle ride please ask, we are more than happy to loan you our bikes at no extra charge. There is a charge of £17 per night for a second guest and £15 for a third guest.. (ie a child sharing your room) however we also have a single room that we rent separately at £25 per night ((+Airbnbs usual booking fee) Should you wish to book the double room and use the single room too we are happy to let you have it at a reduction and no extra booking fee.
