Beach Hill is a quirky 18th century cottage in Hele Bay, Ilfracombe. Offering spectacular countryside views and original character features such as beamed ceilings and country Aga. Sleeps up to 4 people and is most suited to small families or couples, offering a self-contained cozy environment for a relaxing seaside stay and to explore what North Devon has to offer! The cottage is dog-friendly with great access to coastal walks, a shop, pub and pebble beach all within a 4 minute walk to enjoy. Parking: Free on street parking available outside the cottage. Cottage Layout: Please be aware of the quirky cottage layout, the shower room and sink is located in bedroom 2 with a separate toilet on the landing. Other cottage amenities: Smart TV with built in DVD player -access your own personal Netflix account if required. Coffee Machine for your use located in the kitchen with complimentary coffee pods. It is a Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine if you wish to bring extra pods for your stay. Cold water shower hose installed at the front of the property for our doggie guests after long coastal walks. Garden: The large garden is located to the side and back of the property, and is comprised of decked and patio areas. In the summertime the garden gets the sunshine all day particularly on the decked terrace which looks out over the views above the rooftop of the cottage . The garden is accessed by steep steps with the property being built into a steep hill, however the views are stunning and perfect for alfresco dining as the sun comes down over the hills. Please be aware that these steep steps to access the back and side garden areas may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Young children may also need to be supervised. There is also a small bistro table located at the front of the property which also gets the sunshine, where you can enjoy a morning coffee. This is on a flat area directly outside the front door. So you can still enjoy an outside area without steps if you wish and still have access to those lovely views. Main Local Attractions: Local Beaches, Ilfracombe Habour, Verity, Ilfracombe Golf Course, Combe martin Wildlife Park, Woolacombe is also only a 16 minute drive away which is ideal for surfing all year round and a haven for families enjoying beach holidays and safe `rockpooling'. There is a house manual located in the cottage to help you during your stay. Pet Bookings: One well behaved medium sized dog most welcome at Beach Hill cottage. We don't charge any extra for our doggie guests, but we do kindly ask you to contact us if you are bringing a dog so we can make sure the cottage is set up appropriately for your arrival. If you require a space for a second dog, then we do also ask you to kindly contact us with the size and breed before going through to book. Hele Bay Beach is also dog friendly and is a 4 minute walk away. There is also a grassed park area close by up the hill from the cottage. The whole cottage and garden space is exclusive for use during your stay. Self check-in via a Key Lockbox. Check In- Anytime after 3pm Check Out -10am Hele is a very friendly village in close proximity to Ilfracombe. Hele has all the basic local amenities you need: Pub, Café, tearoom, Petrol station and grocery store. Great access to the wonderful southwest coastal path walks with paths over Hillsborough with fabulous views where you then drop down into the Victorian town of Ilfracombe. Hele is centrally located to visit lots of other nearby tourist towns such as Watermouth , Combe Martin, Morthoe and Woolacombe. Local bus routes available. The bus stop is located just down the road opposite the pub approximately a 4 minute walk. Kind Reminders before booking: Please be aware there is steep steps leading up to the garden areas at the back and side of the property this may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, however there is a flat outside area with a bistro table located outside the front door of the property. Please be aware of our quirky cottage layout, the shower room and sink is located in bedroom 2 with a separate toilet on the landing.
