Rooftop Cabin Oasis

Cute rooftop cabin made of durable bamboo plywood in a green oasis of lush tropical vegetation in a quiet residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Kannur city. Relax, have a chat, or read a book on the spacious rooftop terrace, or catch up on those yoga and meditation exercises. Our roofed rooftop terrace is simple and spacious, and has its own laid back atmosphere, a rooftop garden, two sitting areas, and abundant open space for activities. It is a place to gather, relax, read a book, watch birds, listen to the sounds of nature, mediate, dance, or workout (if you feel so inclined). While you might have to occasionally share the open rooftop space with guests staying in the Green Dreams Oasis room below or your host, it is yours most of the time. Your host and her friendly dog Snowflake live on the middle floor below, where another guest room listed as Green Dreams Oasis is available. The rooftop cabin has a private entrance and you'll have a key for the grill door below, so that you can come and go as you please without having to go through the main house. Your host happily makes tea for you and provides drinking water, and for longer stays you are also welcome to use the kitchen below. You are welcome to hang out in the living room in the host's home, too, have a chat, play with Snowflake, or just chill out. Your hosts, Ranjit from Kannur and his German wife Katja live just below on the middle floor, and are readily available for questions and to socialize. The neighborhood is lush, green, and quiet and wonderful for long or short walks or jogging, for example to the nearby wetland with scenic aqueduct bridge. With our house situated in a dead-end street, there is no through-traffic. It is always a relief to come back home after a trip to Kannur's hectic city center, which is a 10min drive away. It is about 4km to popular Payyambalam Beach and a 20min drive to Kannur's backwaters. Grocery shops and a small local restaurant which serves tea, breakfast, and lunch are just around the corner. Auto rickshaws can be flagged down from the main road just outside our small dead-end street. Kannur auto drivers are honest and use the meter, so no worries about having to bargain. The nearest public bus stops are a 10 min walk away.
