Self catering chalet for low cost ski holidays in Slovakia. 20 min drive from Jasna, central Europe's top ski resort. Sleeps max of 8, three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms. Wi-fi, tv/dvd/ music system, log burner/ central heating all inc. Optional sauna available. Our chalet is a recent build in a traditional style offering three large bedrooms able to sleep eight comfortably. There is an outside terrace and garden, central heating, a log burner, a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge with TV, dvd, music sysyem and wi-fi throughout the house. The chalet has an attached car port large enough for two cars. We offer an 8 person sauna which can be booked in 30 minute sessions at extra cost, paid locally. The sauna is located at the back of the chalet. Please note there is a 100 euro deposit to be paid on arrival at the chalet to our property manager and returned on check out less any damages. This deposit is not charged through Airbnb. At the Daily Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show, Jasna has won the Best Up and Coming Resort Award - here's what they said:- "A huge €130m investment over the past four years has seen Jasna, which is located in the Low Tatras, demonstrate its intention to take on the Alps' major resorts. And it's this drive and ambition that saw our judges vote overwhelmingly in its favour. As well as four new state-of-the-art gondolas and three new chairlifts (taking the total to 30 lifts), a 24-seat funitel and 15-seat cable car connecting the north and south sides of the Chopok peak (2,024m) opened last season, making the challenging freeride zones around the peak far more accessible. In addition, 10km of new pistes have been carved out (boosting the total to 45km), modern snowmaking systems installed and significant improvements and additions made to hotels, restaurants and shops. But our judges were most impressed by the massive improvements to ease of access for British skiers and snowboarders this winter, thanks to the opening of a new flight route between London Luton and Poprad, just a 40-minute transfer from the resort. And with four flights per week, Jasna is now extremely convenient for a short break or weekend stay. The results speak for themselves. Situated in the valley between the Low and High Tatras the chalet overlooks the picturesque village of Liptov Trnovec, a village which borders the Liptv Mare, one of the largest lakes in Slovakia. A ski bus runs from Trnovec to Tatralandia and on to Jasna with stops in Mikulas and up the the valley road. A bus service also runs from Trnovec into Mikulas and MIkulas is also well connected by train to other parts of Slovakia including Bratislava. The chalet is available on a minimum three night stay basis except by special arrangement. Each booking will be asked to pay a 100 euro deposit on arrival, returned on departure less any breakages. This part of Slovakia operates a strict recycling code of conduct and guests are required to adhere to this code.
