“Daisy”: cosy caravan nr St Ives, Cornwall
“Daisy” lives at the end of our garden with own parking entrance and garden area. Across the lane is a working farm with cattle and trucks which can be noisy at times. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty & short walk to NT Trencrom Hill are stunning views across the peninsula of both coasts. A walker’s paradise. Located near the beautiful golden beaches of St Ives, Carbis Bay and Hayle. Short drive to the north and south coasts, Minack theatre, Lands End and so much more to explore. Private parking and own dedicated garden area. Guests are requested NOT TO SMOKE inside Daisy. Caravan is fully equipped for a camping holiday: Gas oven, grill, hob and hot water; Mains electricity supply for the kettle, microwave, fridge and radio; Electric heater and extra blankets for cooler nights; All bedding and quick-dry towels provided, but please bring your own Beach Towels. Shower room inside the caravan and a compost toilet in your private loo shed just behind it. Phone signal may be erratic and no WiFi or TV., so switch off and leave your techie life behind. Private entrance and parking by caravan. Private secluded patio area. Available if required but otherwise enjoy your stay undisturbed. Trencrom Hill, Lelant Downs, near St Ives, Cornwall We are in an elevated position in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Penwith peninsular, just a few minutes walk to the top of the National Trust protected Trencrom Hill, where you have a stunning 360 view taking in St Michaels Mount on the South Coast and Godrevey Lighthouse on the North coast. There are footpaths leading to both coasts - a walkers paradise! Just across the lane from Daisy is Trencrom Farm, a working farm. As you are probably aware, farmers don’t do 9-5 so at times you may see and hear cattle, sheep, tractors, etc. and yells of “encouragement” from the farm hands. A few minutes walk away is a second farm. Trink Dairy where you can see the cows being milked and buy their delicious milk, and a Farmers Market is held there every Wednesday. A short drive or 30 minute walk through the lanes will get you the choice of three local pubs. St Ives, with its three glorious beaches, numerous restaurants, art galleries and shops is a ten minute drive away, as is Carbis Bay, yet another beautiful beach and in the other direction, Hayle with its famous “Three Miles of Golden Sand”. 8 miles to the West is Penzance and beyond that lies Newlyn, Mousehole, Sennen Cove, The Minnack outdoor theatre, Lands End, and so much more to explore. This is a walkers paradise although a car is recommended to reach nearby towns and to explore the rest of the far west peninsula. Alternatively an open top tour bus of the peninsula can be caught locally. Taxis can be pre-ordered. Paddington to Penzance mainline train stops at nearby St Erth, where you can also catch the picturesque branch line along the coast to St Ives. Please note: compost (sawdust) toilet. There is a working farm just across the lane (animal noise and farm traffic at times.)
