The Ewbank Cottage is the perfect getaway to the beautiful Virginia Countryside. This lovely home boasts historic charm while offering all of the modern amenities you desire. Perfect for a short, or longer term staycation, the home is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, fast Wifi connection and cable television. The Plains, Virginia is the perfect location for road bikers, equestrians, and wine enthusiasts alike. A beautifully updated and fully stocked kitchen is complemented with an open floor plan to the dining room. A large dining table seats eight people comfortably. The master bedroom is furnished with a luxurious king sized bed and has an en-suite fully updated bathroom. The elegant queen bedroom and additional full-sized bedroom are both furnished with new memory foam mattresses. The third floor is set up with two twin beds and a comfortable play area for children, and/or exercise area for adults. Each bedroom is equipped with a heating and cooling split unit that you can customize to your ideal temperature. Two large bathrooms provide ample space for everyone in the family. Grill up a gourmet dinner on the fully furnished back deck. Don't forget to enjoy the sunset and a glass of Virginia wine from the front porch. Guests have access to entire house and property. We want to comfortably, and most importantly SAFELY, accommodate all guests. This house is a wonderful, serene retreat to escape the chaos and anxiety caused by the current COVID-19 conditions. We encourage you to book this house long or short term. Safety for our renters is our main priority. We do ask that if you or anyone you are traveling with has been in an extremely high risk location or is exhibiting any signs of illness, you do not travel at this time. We also request that you make yourselves familiar with the current regulations outlined by the County and State before arrival. The Plains is a charming village with some of the best local restaurants and scenery. The Ewbank Cottage is very conveniently located just off Route 66 and is walking distance to everything in The Plains. Its proximity to restaurants, the local coffee shop, antique stores, and more is perfect for both comfort and convenience. Middleburg, Marshall, and numerous vineyards are minutes away by car, making The Plains the perfect location for your country escape. The Ewbank cottage is an historic house dating back to 1901. It has been fully renovated and offers all of the comforts of a new home. To preserve its historic charm, we have retained the beautiful antique windows, original hardwood floors, and much of the original trim and molding woodwork. We have also kept the original fireplace intact. However, please note that the original fireplace does not meet current regulations. Therefore, it is not operational. The home is elegantly furnished with high end household goods to match its historic beauty. We encourage you to use any items, read any books, and play any games provided. Please keep in mind these are family treasures. Do not remove any household items or books from the home. We ask that you abide by the golden rule and treat this home as you would want yours treated.
