Our home breaths a relaxed family atmosphere. We offer a safe and friendly environment to make you feel at home. Although there are other accommodation facilities in Mukono town, there is no other home like our amazing family. We have the space and atmosphere for people to relax, have fun, chat, watch DVDs & nightlife. People come from all around the world and stay with us from days to few weeks. We offer pre-arrival support & in-country assistance like airport transfers. Most people who stay with us are travelling alone and this provides a perfect opportunity for you to meet others and make plans for traveling around Uganda together with the ones you meet. Our guests have access to every room in the house, except my bedroom. We offer and arrange the customized tailor-made day tour packages and when the sun falls, we take you to bars, clubs and rooftops, and party in the cities of Uganda that never sleeps. Mukono town is a medium-sized town nestled between Kampala city (the capital) and Jinja town. It is a 60 minutes drive from Kampala city, and an hour drive from Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda. Mukono town has a lot of quiet charm to it and although it is by no means over-run by tourists, there are enough foreigners here that you will not feel isolated. It is the closest town to Kampala and city and away from the crazy Kampala life. Mukono is considered very safe. You are encouraged to be careful walking around with valuables however the locals are very friendly and they associate foreigners with volunteers. Favorite past times in Mukono include having a cold beer in one of the rooftop bars, amazing night life at local bars or getting out of town for a day trip. Located in a humble neighborhood of Mukono town, we are nestled away from all the noise of the big town, but close enough to quickly get you back to downtown to sight see or party at the pubs and clubs until the birds are chirping. Our visitors can also get involved in our humanitarian service by volunteering for a few hours at any of our projects at Beacon of Hope Uganda. This gives you an opportunity to make a positive impact during your stay in the Pearl of Africa.
