We will try to smooth your cultural chock by giving you opportunities to enjoy the best of your stay... You won't have to make any dishwashing for sure.... Our place is in a quiet atmosphere with continental breakfast included (sorry we are not into beans on toast in the morning...). And why not having some French lessons in the same time? Our home is over 200 years old and suits to under 1 meter 80 people... Doors and access under the stairs maybe tiny for a taller person even our beds are only Queen sized... Just mention during your booking if you prefer soft or hard bedding. Please make a difference in your comments between cleanliness and antiquated... Our home has not luxury ammenities it is just homy and quiet. But we hope to make it a unique experience! Please take note that the GPS or cell phone network in our village is a little restricted... Do keep a paper copy of your directions before your arrival... Welcome to get lost in the middle of France... You can use our kitchen of course and if we watch tv or have some board games you can come and share some time with us. The area is a jewel in historical and archeological spots you can even find some English trails coming from the Middle Age... We do have a rich amount of historical or touristic activities all around. Do not hesitate to ask for some information. We propose you to test our meals, for free the first time, you may share expenses afterwards... and avoid to cook on you own... Our ancient village History goes back from Middle Age.... unluckily we haven't any restaurant here, you can either go to the grocery shop, the "café" or use our kitchen (while no one using it...) then there are plenty of good restaurants 10km away from the village. Our village is one of the oldest potters' village since Middle Age and you can trace archeological sites from Prehistoric area only few miles away... Don't expect to find more than scholar buses in our village. So... you can reach us by car, hitch hiking or riding bike for the brave ones... The countryside is really hilly... Into ceramics? We can inform you with files about potters and Saintonge History. I proposed for an extra cost some guiding experiences, teaching or baby sitting if you fancy any...
