Experience living off grid without compromising lifestyle. I host guests in my off grid home. Large modern eco home generates all of it's electricity from solar and filtered water from rain, so we're conscious of our water and electricity consumption.The two large bedrooms in my each have a queen bed and a single bed, BIR, free wifi. LGBTQI friendly All the electricity is produced from solar and all the water is harvested from rain and triple filtered, so frugal use of water is appreciated. Located is a forest valley surrounded by native trees. Watch native birds in their natural habitat and spot visiting kangaroos. Inside cooking facilities are not available however BBQ facilities are available and at your disposal with patio dining facilities. In our experience most guests are only too glad to get away from household chores and don't want to be cooking and cleaning while on holiday. I interact with guests on arrival. Mount Victoria is located at the top of the Blue Mountains at 1030m above sea level where the air is clean and fresh. Conveniently accessible via the M4 Motorway and Great Western Highway or by train on the Blue Mountains Railway line from Sydney Central Station. We are 5 minutes from the village of Mt Victoria, 10 minutes to the village of Blackheath and 15 minutes drive to Katoomba and the quaint village of Leura. Located in a secluded forest setting yet within easy reach of all tourist sites. Mt. Victoria is an "old world" quaint village of about 8000 people with a retro "Picture Theater" of old, 1800's Pub with live music, Post Office, News Agent, Coffee Shops, Restaurants and the local railway museum. Bush walks are steps away from the front door. Popular with couples on a romantic get away, families, bush walkers, rock climbers or just rest, recover and rejuvenate from the stresses of the city. Arrange a picnic in the middle of the forest literally at our doorstep, breathe in fresh mountain air, drink and shower in rainwater and explore all that the ancient Blue Mountains has to offer. Feel the positive effects of breathing pure, fresh mountain air and drinking rain water in a relaxing hospitable resort like atmosphere. We look forward to your visiting us. The best way to get to the Blue Mountains is to either drive along the M4 motor way which becomes the Great Western Highway or take the train. To get Mt Victoria from Sydney: BY CAR: an easy 2 hour drive west of Sydney on the M4 motorway which becomes The Great Western Highway. Secure Free Parking is available on site. BY TRAIN: Take the Blue Mountains line from Sydney Central Station or directly from the Airport (change platforms at central station) . If arriving by train we will gladly pick you up and drop you (email hidden) Victoria train station. All villages in the Blue Mountains are conveniently located on the railway line from Springwood at the bottom of the mountains to Mt Victoria at the top of the mountains. Buy weekly train ticket for hassle free train travel and explore the villages. BY TAXI : Taxis are available on call. BY BUS: Available to and from Mt Vic to Katoomba and Blackheath AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: There are a number of shuttle (mini bus) services from Sydney Airport to the Blue Mountains. Please search via the 'net "Sydney to blue mountains shuttle service" and pre-book for this service. I will be glad to show you how to live OFF GRID so you too can live without paying electricity or water bills as l do!! I generate all our own electricity from solar and our water from rain. Living in the mountains provides a great lifestyle and Im happy to share it with you. My home is a silent haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are on an acre set among the gum trees set in a native forest valley and built alongside an ancient massive 50m sand stone rock. Breathe in fresh mountains air, drink and shower in purified rainwater, spot Kangaroos, mountain goats, hear birds sing. Experience upmarket modern eco-living at its best in the Blue Mountains without compromising the style and comfort to which you are accustomed. * Hair dryers cannot be used ~ but if you really need to, please let us know when you want to use it as we will need to turn on the generator to accommodate the extreme power drawn by hair dryers.
