Set on Bedwas mountain, 5 minutes from the historic Caerphilly Castle and with convenient and direct links to the cosmopolitan city of Cardiff, only 20 minutes away, with its theatres, music and sporting venues, “The Rest”, is the newest member to our family. A self-contained detached annex that can accommodate up to 2 persons comfortably. Located close to St Barrwgs church, and only a 5 minute walk to Bedwas village it is conveniently located to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. Access to “The Rest”, is via a 5 bar gate onto the main property and guests will be provided with their own key for use during their stay. There is parking for one vehicle, alongside the gate. All bedding, towels, and bathroom toiletries will be provided. All the makings for a Welsh continental breakfast will also be provided during your stay. The kitchen has a full size electric fan oven and 2 ring hob. A large fridge with freezer compartment will house dairy products for all guests during their stay. WiFi will also be available. There is a Smart TV, and DVD player available for use. The luxurious large double sofa bed has a comfortable mattress and easy to use pull out mechanism. A fold out table and benches provides the perfect opportunity for a cuppa and a welsh cake or two, dinner or work space for a laptop. “The Rest” is completely private, however guests are welcome to use our garden space. “The Rest” and it’s amenities are all on one level. We shall be able to greet all guests on arrival. Located at the top of Bedwas village, “The Rest”, is located in a rural location with direct access to countryside walks right outside the main access gate. Ideal for walkers, cyclists and anyone who wants to explore the South Wales valleys, Brecon Beacons and Welsh Borders, situated approx 8 miles from junc 28 of the M4, 5 minutes from Caerphilly train station, and with Cardiff only 20 minutes away, “The Rest” provides a comfortable and convenient base for guests. If you are looking for somewhere to eat , there is a fabulous Italian Restaurant in Caerphilly town centre called Volare. Advance booking is necessary though. The Maenllwyd Inn in Rudry offers good staple pub grub set in a lovely rural setting. This is usually busy at the weekends. The Old Cottage located close to Lisvane train station offers again a good pub menu. This is usually busy at the weekends. All of the above are easy to reach from “The Rest”.
