This beautiful inner city studio apartment has a private entrance (accessed via the rear lane way), modern ensuite and well-equipped kitchenette. There is also a balcony just big enough to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine! It is a compact, elegant space fitted out with everything you'll need for your visit for business or pleasure. The studio boasts a king sized bed, 42 inch smart TV, full length mirror, unlimited wifi internet and reverse cycle air conditioning. An iron and ironing board, hairdryer and hair straightener are also provided. An easy five minute walk to trendy cafés and restaurants, a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest train station and close to the city centre. Alexandria is known for having great coffee, fresh produce and discount shopping outlets. The area is also perfect for cycling. You will enjoy complete independence and privacy in this immaculately kept little studio. The bed is a king bed - the mattress is top quality- there is no substitute for a good nights sleep! The default configuration is a king bed. On arrival you will receive a welcome basket including fresh fruit, muesli, bread, jam and milk. Tea and coffee is also provided. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements (e.g. lactose or gluten intolerance) so I can cater to your needs. The kitchenette includes a small fridge and tiny freezer, microwave oven, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine.. Crockery, cutlery, utensils and glassware are provided, as are salt, pepper and sugar. Please note it is a kitchenette not a full kitchen and does not include a sink or stove (washing up materials are provided in ensuite). There is also a Lonely Planet guide to Sydney, maps, brochures and discount vouchers available for your use. There's no need to waste your trip researching online or visiting a tourist kiosk! Access to the studio is completely private, enabling guests to come and go as they please. I am available to guests to answer questions but I understand that most guests appreciate the privacy offered by the studio and I respect their independence. Warehouses and factories still comprise some of Alexandria's landscape but this inner Sydney suburb is becoming increasingly gentrified. This interesting and evolving suburb now has a burgeoning cafe culture as well as wide streets (many with bike lanes) many parks and great shopping! As it is only a few miles south of Sydney’s central business district and is easily accessible by public transport. Alexandria is home to some of the best coffee in the city. "The Grounds of Alexandria" is a local favourite embodying an industrial/farm-like aesthetic, it is has great coffee and an on-site bakery. It is a 10-15 minute walk from studio but well worth it! "Campos Rosetta Stone" bakery is another favourite, a five minute walk from the studio. As is "Fratelli Fresh" which sells fresh produce as well as being an excellent Italian restaurant. Feel free to ask me for local restaurant recommendations or to explore the neighbouring streets! The area has great public transport options including trains and buses. I have two bicycles that are available for guests to hire. Free street parking is available. It is a short walk to Erskinville train station (10-15 mins) or Green Square train station (15-20 mins). Redfern station is also walking distance but it is further (25 mins). Once on the train it's only two stops to the heart of the city and a couple more to Circular Quay (Sydney Opera House) as these stations are on the 'city circle' line. Trains are by far the quickest and easiest way to get around the city. The studio is a 10-15 minute drive to/from Sydney airport (approximately $25 taxi fare). The train fare is approximately $15 per person and given you'll then need to walk to the studio, I recommend taking a taxi. There are GoGet car share pick up/drop off points within a five minute walk of the studio. If you require: One king bed - please book for ONE person (even if there are two people). If you would like to have TWIN BEDS - please book for two people (this attracts a $60 surcharge as the beds have to be made up especially). Minimum two night stay. We regret that the studio is not wheelchair accessible. For longer term guests, clean towels and linen will be provided weekly. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is before 10am but we try to be flexible where we can. Check-in in the late evening and check-out in the early morning is not a problem. We offer our guests customized service upon request and can arrange airport pickup, advance shopping, theatre bookings, 'Opal' cards (for public transport) etc The security deposit is AUD$500. This is held by Airbnb in the case of a claim. It covers the cost of any missing items, damage or breakage to the property and its contents, excluding normal wear during your stay. An inventory check will be performed when you leave. We reserve the right to inspect the property during the visit if we have reason for concern.
