The White Hart pub close by, serving full English breakfast/lunch/dinner 7 days a week. Shared bathroom with walk-in shower & separate roll top bath. Fresh sandwiches can be bought at Harting Stores. Free wifi TV in shared lounge area, no TV in rental room Fast broadband so can access iplayers etc upstairs Notoriously bad mobile phone receptions in village so rely a great deal on wifi calls Harting sadly has an issue with drivers ignoring speed limit and the road can get quite busy around rush hour. House sits on road side so guests must take care when accessing or leaving the house. This is a blackout village with no ambient light so please bring a torch! A walkers paradise, Harting is an ancient village nestled in the South Downs, sitting on the edge of National Trust's Uppark Estate. (Website hidden by Airbnb) The historic City of Chichester is a 20min drive with easy access to the stunning Wittering beaches. Village has a pub and shop. There is a bus route to Petersfield, Midhurst and Chichester. Petersfield station is on mainline link to London Waterloo and fast trains take an hour. PARKING: we share a road side layby and parking is free but guests must take care whilst walking to and from house as cars pass by too fast! The ancient and picturesque village of South Harting nestles just inside the border of the beautiful South Downs National Park. The perfect place for exploring (South Downs Way), horse racing (Glorious Goodwood), car racing (Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed) and Gold Cup polo (Cowdray Estate).
