A public telephone (using Manx Telecom phone cards), is situated in the village. The nearest shops are in Peel which is approximately 3 miles away. There are many excellent places to eat, either within a 6 mile radius of Glen Maye, or you could go further afield if you prefer. This is lovely walking and cycling country, but still only 30 minutes’ drive from the island capital, Douglas, where you can find a sports centre, swimming pool, cinemas, night clubs and more. Your own transport is advisable as buses from Glen Maye are not very frequent. This small Manx cottage is the perfect bolthole for those looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle.
