Walk downhill to lake or city center in a few minutes but return requires effort. Best visiting by car. This independent apartment is inside villa Azalee, itself surrounded by a private garden (green grass, azaleas, pines, lavender, boxwood, maples, fruit trees..) in Verbania, is in a very quiet and romantic place, still at some few minutes walk downhill to the sandy beach of the lake, to attractions (tennis, pool, cycling, sailing, fishing, diving...), to shops and supermarkets. Hiking facilities right up or down from the villa itself. A golf club is at some five minutes, driving. When walking, your return to the villa will be uphill. It is our pleasure to inform you about anything you may want to know at arrival or during your stay if you ask. The living area is a large open-plan living room with a kitchen corner as in photos, a dining table, French doors to the garden and a sofa-bed as in photos. Two bedrooms with queen-size 140 cm double beds, each room with bathroom and shower. There is a CCTV system in the villa but no cam ever looking in any of your private areas. The apartment comfortably sleeps four people or up to max 6 people considering the sofa bed and an optional extra single bed. Furniture is modern italian and new. Families welcome as we provide cots, craddles, high chair and playground where necessary. Upon arrival, you are welcomed to receiving the keys, quick guidance to the comforts of the apartment and getting all informations about everything related with your stay and your trip. A consistent part of the garden is reserved to you where you can enjoy privacy and relax. We are not professionals: being long time travellers ourselves and having experienced hospitalities in many countries around the world, we love taking care of our guests, we trust we have a fair experience, so we truly intend to be up to the needs of all types of guests and everyone is welcome into our place. The apartment is at 45 minutes drive from the Malpensa Airport (there is a regular bus service to the airport) and at less than 10 minutes to the highway and to the railway station, where trains run to Milan and Switzerland. You can very easily drive, direct to Milan in an hour from here. We may come to pick you up at the bus/train station or at an airport, but if you come driving (driving is absolutely recommended to take full advantage of the surrounding beauty of mountains and lakes), consider that parking is free and safe. Verbania Pallanza and Suna are wonderful places for a short stay of a few days if you like excellent italian food, the quiet atmosphere of the lakes or any of walking, swimming, trekking, hiking, cycling, sailing or playing golf or tennis. One hour from Milan, reach Ascona and Locarno in Switzerland in less than 30 minutes. Easy access to sandy beach, swimming pool for a fee, a tennis place, bars and restaurants. A pleasant walk of half an hour along the shore is worth it to visit the world famous Villa Taranto with its plants and fauna from all over the world. Another option: stop at the pier at half way, from where boats leave for trips to the Borromeo Islands (the islands in front of us) and Intra, Stresa and Baveno. From Intra (also at walking distance from home), you may be tempted to cross the lake by ferry to reach Varese or take a trip to Locarno in Switzerland, famous for the film festival which takes place in August. Stresa is famous for its eighteen century romantic hotels and for its festival of classical, baroque and ancien times music. If you fancy trekking and having spectacular mountain views, the villa has an ideal access to interesting hiking trails. You may discover several enchanting villages, too many to name. The Fall is a special romantic season for living the special atmosphere of these lakes. In Stresa, you can take the cableway up the mountain Mottarone and then down again to Lake d'Orta and the Sacro-Monti place, which is a UNESCO world heritage. By bicycle, you can take a bike path and reach either the small lake of Mergozzo or the romantic lake of Orta or Fondotoce with its golf ground and rowing facilities. Another option would be to go to Arona for an important round-the-lake tour around Lago Maggiore. Separate entrance and free parking place for one car. Some stairs to your apartment.
