Georgian manor house with views and boating lake

A wing of a Georgian manor house situated on the outskirts of Totnes, with origins dating back to the doomsday book. Siting within beautiful woods within walking distance of Berry Pomeroy castle. The house has spectacular views through the valley and across the beautiful landscaped gardens. The gardens are on several levels, meandering to the lake and boat house. **Covid update - if we're still in a national lockdown at the time of your visit, we'll provide a full refund. ** The house has five bedrooms; a king with an ensuite and dressing room; a second king loft room; a double; a cabin bed; and a mezzanine small double that hangs from the ceiling accessed via a ladder with a single underneath. Downstairs is a large kitchen diner, with table to seat 10 people. Plus two sofas. Snug room with sofa, TV, and table football. Set in 3 acres, there are many outside seating areas, with different views and sun traps throughout the day. There are various routes down to the boating lake, with a lake house to sit in, and sun loungers on the edge of the lake. There is also an outdoor table tennis table and a 14ft sunken trampoline. The separate Orangery accommodation, listed separately on Airbnb, has a private garden with views over the valley. It has a wood fired hot tub, outside seating, hammocks, and BBQ area. We are available on the phone or messages only The house is in an idyllic area of outstanding natural beauty whilst being within 10 mins of the town of Totnes. The coast is 10-15 mins including Brixham and Torquay. Dartmoor is also less than 10 miles away. Its a short walk to Berry Pomeroy castle which has a café that does great cooked breakfasts, cake, coffee, and local beer. There are beautiful walks right outside the door and two pubs a 30 min walk away, just enough to work up an appetite. Newton Abbot or Totnes are the nearest train stations both 10-15 mins in the car or taxi. We are on the John Musgrove trail. The manor is located in a quiet hamlet. Therefore noise levels must be respected.
