Period home in village location close to beaches

Welcome to our beautiful home in the heart of the village of Illogan offering flexible accommodation for 6-8 guests. There is plenty to see and do with walks through the woodland and along the coast all accessible from the property. Tehidy Country Park including its 18 hole golf course is a short walk or couple of minutes drive away and the North Coast beaches of Portreath, Godrevy, Gwithian and Porthtowan all within easy reach. The property itself is a double fronted grade II listed house with period features such as original sash windows and working shutters. To the front of the house, there is an enclosed garden that wraps around the property enabling you to track the sunshine. The dual aspect lounge is bright and comfortable with a traditional granite fireplace and woodburning stove. There is a curved Samsung smart TV (you will need your own accounts to access Prime, Netflix Now TV etc). The large dining table easily accommodates 6-8 people and leads onto the well equipped kitchen with integrated dishwasher, Rangemaster stove with electric oven and gas hob and Nespresso coffee machine. Leading off from the kitchen into the utility with Samsung fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave, Panasonic bread machine and Kitchen Aid food mixer. This also leads into the downstairs toilet and outdoor decked courtyard. Upstairs is a spacious family bathroom including a corner bath with shower over. Three large double bedrooms all with TVs, are situated upstairs with one king size bed, one double bed and one small double. An office/TV room/4th bedroom provides a flexible space with a desk and TV plus a double pull out sofa bed (please let us know in advance if you intend to use this space as an additional sleeping area rather than office/TV room to enable us to prepare the sofa bed). To the rear of the property there is an enclosed walled courtyard garden with a BBQ and seating area perfect for relaxing in after a busy day exploring. There is plenty of free on road parking to both the front and rear of the property. We are staying locally within the area and will be available throughout your stay if you have any questions or need advice. The nearest train station is at Redruth, 2 miles away. There are good bus services from the train station to the village of Illogan and surrounding areas including the local beach at Portreath. There are an abundance of cycling and walking routes directly from the house. You can enjoy a lovely 2 miles walk through the woods to the beach at Portreath. We are centrally located with good road and public transport routes to popular areas.
