Desert Oasis Horse Retreat

This unique country property is close to family-friendly activities. Hiking, colorful Route 66 history & museum, Grand Canyon West with the Sky Walk and the Colorado River. You’ll love this destination because of the quiet desert ambiance and wide open outdoors space. The home is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets) ~ with an additional $20. charge for animals that stay over. A peaceful desert oasis off the beaten track. Natural setting with Quail, bunnies and wildlife. Friendly horses love to be fed carrots and petted & your true Airbnb host, "Claire" the Great White Pyrenees dog who is delighted to have company! Miles of open desert to hike in, enjoy an amazing sunset & and savor the milky way in the dark desert sky. Well worth the 1 mile of gravel road & lane leading to home! You are welcome to use the yard, decks, BBQ, kitchen and living space. There is a lovely large private bathroom off the master bedroom, and shared bathroom for the smaller room with twin beds. I will be available to interact with the horses and any questions about local sights. You are welcome to cook your own breakfast with home grown eggs. Close to Highway 93 leading North to Las Vegas and the West rim of the Grand Canyon; 1 mile off Highway 63 leading to Laughlin NV and the Colorado River. Our horse retreat is very quiet and removed from mainstream travel. There is delightful Mexican food near-by and convenience stores that offer handmade sandwiches. A magical Rock Shop as well, that is truly an adventure to browse in, complete with turquoise. Best to have your own source of travel. The dirt road is maintained by the county, and can be rough at times. Our lane, "Redwall Drive" is rocky and best suited for slow travel with cars and perfect for trucks and off-road jeeps and vehicles. The yard has a circular driveway, and ample room for trailers of any size.
