You are welcome to explore our farm with its lovely undulating paddocks or find a quiet spot to sit/picnic and observe our birds and wildlife over our dams. We have lots of blue tongued lizards around the garden, some nesting crested doves and you may see or hear our resident owls. You will certainly see and hear our sulphur crested cockatoos, our butcherbirds, magpies, pied currawongs, Willy wagtails and rosellas. As we are a working farm, you may see the tractor going past or the cattle being shifted. You are welcome to observe any work happening in our cattle yards. There are lovely walks around the farm or along the tree lined Balgonie Lane towards Scrubby Creek. There are many local things to do in the area and in the Cottage you will find a list of attractions, local cafes and spots to visit. We are close to the Gippsland Lakes and an hour’s drive to the 90 Mile Beach, perfect for fishing and walking. We recommend also riding or walking some of the amazing Rail Trail rides in Gippsland, and visiting the historic ”Knob” at Stratford. We are also happy to provide travel to and from Stratford Railway Station. We are 15 minutes from Stratford and Sale. Breakfast provided: Eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. (Gluten free on request). There is also local produce from the farm when available. We have recently refurbished our cottage with newly sanded wooden floors, a wood heater, new stove and comfy furniture. Or you can plant it yourself! There is a dog kennel and run provided.
