Totally refurbished to a high standard, we love that the house is in the heart of the cairngorms national park, yet has extra comforts such as wood burning stove, large dining kitchen, roll top bath and jacuzzi. The master suite suite has a four poster bed and an en suite. This charming and traditional granite house, set in enclosed mature gardens, has been professionally interior designed to a very high standard. The holiday property, set down a quiet lane in the lovely Highland village of Newtonmore (familiar as Monarch of the Glen country), just 14 miles from Aviemore and ideal for exploring Strathspey, Badenoch and the Cairngorm National Park. Newtonmore's 'Wildcat Trail' is a 10km orbital walk taking in the River Spey, the Calder and the Monadhliath mountains. Enjoy golf, birdwatching or cycling. Shop ¼ mile, pub ½ mile. The large sitting room has a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy. The sitting room has comfortable seating with a large corner group sofa. At the other end of the sitting room there is a table for playing games, cards or simply reading. A selection of games and some toys are provided. The kitchen is very spacious and runs the full depth of the house and benefits from windows front and back making it feel light and bright. There is a big farmhouse style table that comfortably seats eight people. There is a large range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/drier and a microwave. Upstairs: The bedrooms have been designed to feel a little bit special. The master suite has a four poster king size bed with an en suite that includes a roll top bath. The garden is fully enclosed and quiet with gates at the driveway that can be closed over making it secure. There is so much to see and do for all abilities and styles of holiday. From golf on the lovely course in newtonmore to kayaking down the Spey. There are beautiful walks right on the doorstep which also includes the newtonmore wildcat trail. This is an orbital walk round newtonmore and includes searching for painted cats. Great fun for adults and children alike. It helps to have a car but there is a good sized and well stocked co op on newtonmore. There is a train service that runs from newtonmore and passes through kingussie, aviemore and on to Inverness
