For your first evening there will be a bottle of bubbly and croissants for breakfast. Spot the Sea Eagle is a complete apartment accommodating room 1 to 4. There is a also a separate cabin called the Tassie Tardis which has a double bed. Adjacent to it there is a separate bathroom and sun room with kitchenette. The Cabin can be booked as part of the booking but not separately, allowing accommodation for up to 6. The Bruny island ferry is a 5 minute drive. Experience a great feeling of 'Islandness', spectacular walks and views. Everyone comes back with a different story. Let's hear yours. Or, follow the superb coastal road to Cygnet and the Huon trail. Return to de-brief, while still gazing over the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, or tucked away in the private courtyard. If too exhausted to cook Peppermint Bay is a minute away. Parking is adjacent but does not block your view You are welcome to walk around the property There is a lovely Willow tree lined creek, with a picnic table beside the pond. We have an "Alice" gate into a small forest behind us, which is loaded with wildlife, and you can take a short cut through it to get to the village of Woodbridge Directly in front of the property there is a little secluded beach looking across the Channel to Bruny Island. If with bare feet, beware of the shucked oyster shells! The main house is also on the property and we can help you with any inquiries. There are maps and locality guides which will give a broad introduction to the area. There is a number of really interesting Artisan Producers within a 50km radius (which includes those on Bruny Island). The walks in and around the National Parks range from short intriguing, to extended and spectacular. The wider 'Hamlet' of Woodbridge is home to an eclectic, interesting and vibrant group of residents. You will find them in the Post Office ,General Store, and Peppermint Bay especially on Thursday nights around 6pm. There is a bus stop for the service to Hobart 5 minutes walk away. The village of Woodbridge is probably the most authentic on the Channel, as it miraculously escaped the 1967 fires. There is a general store with a delightful cafe, and a post office. Peppermint Bay has an award winning restaurant and a locals bar. Two Churches complete the 'village' buildings. The market opens fortnightly market in the warmer months. For fun on the property we can provide you with croquet, badminton or boules .
