Deer Haven - Cozy Northwoods Tiny House

Deer Haven is a tiny house (192 sq feet) located in my backyard, overlooking acres of woodland. The space is small and simple. Get to the queen bed in the sleeping loft by climbing the tug boat ladder. Bathroom has a toilet and stock tank shower. The kitchen has basic amenities - fridge, microwave, hot plate, griddle, dishes, etc. Best spot in the house is on the couch, where you can see the fireplace and the gorgeous woods out the patio door. Much of the space was built using reclaimed materials - you’ll find a port hole and ladder, reclaimed from a historic twin ports tug boat, rails made from poles from a Lake Superior ore dock, and shelves that used to be beams from a house built in the early 1900s, and lots of reclaimed corrugated steel. Guests have complete access to the Deer Haven tiny home. I am usually available for questions. My house is located across the yard, so you may see me or my family from time to time. During the summer, downtown Lake Nebagamon has some great ice cream options, and the best local beach around! Lake Nebagamon is conveniently located close to Duluth, Bayfield, and Hayward, if you are looking to see different parts of the northland! You can enjoy the outdoors at Amnicon falls, Lake Superior, and the Afterhours ski/snowshoeing trails which are all within about 20 minutes of the tiny house. During the winter, four wheel drive is best. The driveway is on a hill, and if you don’t have a car that’s good in the the snow, you may need to park at the bottom of the driveway and walk up.
